Hi guys,
I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment and am turning to the collective knowledge of OzB.
I have a 10 month old who has been having coles homebrand gold stage 2 baby formula ($15 a tin) for the last 4 months. Recently though, I've been having difficulty finding stock of these tins around my area. Stock would be intermittent, which I assumed was due to logistical difficulty.
However, it has become apparent that Coles has intentions of discontinuing the line, with no indications/warnings to customers. I couldnt care less about products that have been discontinued, however my baby seems to have grown accustomed to it. She's had serious trouble adjusting to a different brand, and I have no idea what the logical next brand should be.
I know that coles does not manufacture this product themselves, so I may be able to find the company that manufactures for them. I called the coles helpline at 1800061562 and they've advised they do not have any stock in the melbourne region. They also say they cant name the supplier due to "privacy reasons".
We are at the end of our coles stock and I'm worried about finding a suitable alternative. Any tips/ideas?
Have you tried another brand, and slowly changing over to that one by mixing it with the Coles brand formula say, 4:1 (coles:new), then 3:2 (coles:new), etc, and see if doing helps your baby to get used to the new one better?
Otherwise, maybe see if someone interstate has any stock at their Coles and see if they can ship it to you.
