    Awesome game.

Yes! if anyone has an Xbox One, doesn't already have the game and doesn't buy this I'm gonna slap them so hard their cheek will turn into a flat ass red pancake. I don't know if this has HoS and BaW expansions but if it doesn't then I highly recommend paying extra for them, well worth it.

      • It’s the base game. The GotY next to it for $40 has expansions

        • I see. I highly recommend anyone reading this to get the GOTY edition or just get the base game and if you like it buy the goty one later. Blood And Wine is so good I'd have paid $40 for it alone if I knew it was gonna be so good.

        • +1

@Lolno234: just remember that if you buy a separate GOTY edition you will have to start the game from scratch. learnt the hard way myself.

        • @bonechiller: so if I buy the expansions separately I can continue my original play-through?

        • @axeology:

Yes. Basically, don't touch the GOTY edition.

These games have so much hype. I’ve played 2 & 3 and even read some of the translated books but I just couldn’t get into it that much

        • 2 was great, only shitty thing was you couldn't take potions during a fight.

        • It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. When I was buying it myself I read a lot of reviews and a lot of people praised it as the best game of all time while others simply did not like it one bit. I bought it to see what the hype was about and I'm glad I liked it.
          $10 won't hurt for what you're getting.

        • @Scab:The Witcher series is top quality gaming. However people who are fans of 1 & 2 should be reading for some dumbing down in Witcher 3.
The games so good I didn't even notice it at first but you could play the entire game and never die. I have almost completed the game + all DLC and I have used 3 or 4 potions in total, rarely ever died. The quests are interesting but very, very easy.
Can't stress enough how good so much of this game is but it has definitely become a much easier sandbox game in 3.

        • @Scab: I'm about to finish my second playthrough of 3 and then I'll finally play 1 and 2, so excited :D

        • +1

          @Noobist45:

some dumbing down in Witcher 3.

There were so many whiners that 2 xwas hard.

It wasn't if you dodged and parried.

        • @Scab:

My complaint, at least, was that the learning curve was poorly thought out. It was possible to face a dragon and die in the first 5 minutes, IIRC.

      • Turn my cheek into a flat ass red pancake then, daddy. I ain't buying it.

        • +1

Are you not buying it just so you can be spanked?

        • Never said what I'd slap you with so…unzips

        • @Lolno234: Slap me with that dingleberry boi

        • +1

@cruizerdog: Either that or my backlog is well into the triple digits and buying a game this huge is just asking for trouble.

Plus it might come to game pass some day anyways.

        • +1

@TheDukeOfNukem: (profanity) your other backlogs, buy this and put it at the top!

        • @TheDukeOfNukem: put it third from the top. Right underneath viva piñata and farming simulator ;)

        • @cruizerdog: Don't judge me, but, I actually do have both of them in the backlog, and VP TIP.

        • @TheDukeOfNukem: no judgement here. Viva piñata was my first ever Xbox game. It was a great game. I was devastated when my old save files wouldn't transfer to my Xbox one. I also play farming simulator with my 5 year old nephew. He loves it, though he makes me do all the farming while he just drives around on the tractors.

        • @cruizerdog: Why didn't the saves go through? Were you going from disc to the Rare Replay version or something? I've had saves from 360 games I've not touched in years and completely forgot about like Modern Warfare 1 magically appear from the cloud on the Xbone without even asking.

I don't enjoy Farm Sim, tbh I'd rather grab the harvester in San Andreas and just mow stuff down.

      • No your not. Id like to see it

    Can't seem to find online.

    • +14

      you must be new here

  • +6

That is a steal. Fantastic game.

    PS4 owner ;(

    • +3

can easily get the GOTY version which has all the expansions from CashConverters for $15-20. haha
Sadly not many GOTY xbox one versions on there, but PS4 seems to be heaps.

      • +6

Man, I haven’t been to a cash converters in 10+ years

        • +24

I stopped going to Cash Convertors after I beat my drug addiction.

        • Cash Converters is legit for cheap games, as long as it isn't for a retro console.

  • So nationwide?

  • +2

Expansion pass is $35 in the Xbox store. So if you really want the expansions you are probably better off trying to find a Game of the Year version for a good price (still $80 in the Xbox store) or wait and see if the pass goes on sale

    • That's what I'm waiting For, along with Fallout 4 and Skyrim to drop in price.

    • Actually, doesn't OP's photo show the GOTY edition for $40?

      • Yeah. The poorly labeled game on the right is the goty.$40 is obviously better than $10+$35 but hopefully there are also better prices out there.

  • +2

I just started the GOTY a few weeks ago.

I genuinely wished I got this when it released.

    • GL on Blood And Wine, it's great!

  • such a shame i can’t transfer my pc saves over :(

no way i’m playing the whole thing again to get to where i am :(

    • Do it.

  • +5

Note that the regular disc and GOTY disc have separate save files, meaning they are not transferable between the two.

    • Also - for those who care - two separate trophy/achievement lists.

  • I paid $28 for this at EB, 2nd hand, a long time ago and haven't played it.

Waiting on the pile of shame

    • Cmon man give it a try! what's stopping ya?

      • -1

        Having a life? maybe…

        • +5

          witcher 3>life
why hang out with friends when you can hang out with triss?

        • @Lolno234:

Yeah ok guys no worries i'll give it a crack

    • Should be top of the pile - best game of the past decade.

    • Same, but from PlayStation Sale, got GOTY edition…

Also yet to play Metal Gear Solid V, Horizon Zero Dawn, Dragon Age Inquisition… Among others…

  • great game geralt!

  • is anyone able to confirm Sydney stock?

i was at Campsie today and they had nothing

  • Anybody in inner Melbourne CBD or Western Surburbs been able to find any? Called QV Melbourne and a few other stores before close and cannot track down a single copy.

  • +1

The greatest game of all time.

  • +1

One of the best game I have ever played. Absolutely Masterpiece. $10 is a great price.

  • anyone know if it is possible to download an xbox one save game? Don't want to start a new game again :(

    • Doubtful with their cloud integration, I looked into similar trying to fix Minecraft save…

  • Price match with ebgames

    • Chances are low that they will match a clearance price that isn't listed online.

  • +1

This is one of the best games to be released this gen

  • If this helps anyone… phoned Big W Geelong, Werribee and Ballarat. None of these 3 stores have stock.

    • Thanks. No luck either at QV Melbourne, Sunshine and Highpoint. Only called those stores though.

One staff member who I spoke told me that "The Witch" game hasn't been in stock for a while! 🤣

      • I'm Trump today. WITCH-HUNT!!!!!!!!

  • Looks to be another Mission impossible product of Big W , lols !

  • -2

    overrated game

  • Worth to get the blood and wine expansion - just beautiful game.

  • Xbox one version has 4K and better multi-language support.

    • Pc version can run in 3D , the depth is amazing

  • Does anyone know if any big w have it in stock in and around Perth?

  • Read a lot about this game. Is it recommended for someone new to this franchise?

    • It's incredibly detailed and dont need to play previous games :D (it would help on the history part)
      Get it and play,
