When I worked there, some customers complained about me hand-stirring it ("you melted it!!") so I eventually stopped. You could ask if it isn't busy, but don't bother if it's packed.
Seconded, people would complain when I mixed it because it would be messier or melted. When I didn't people would call me lazy..
I liked the mixer machines,everyone was happy.I'm amazed at how many people have the energy to complain about slighty melted soft serve and 15c plastic bags. Give the poor staff who don't make these decisions a break

They actually don't mix anymore in most QLD stores. Plus it gives the false impression there's a lot of mix-in.
I second what burnstar said. The McFlurry I recently received was just soft serve in a cup with (very) crushed Oreo biscuits on top. Disappointing as it was much better churned through the softserve.

Yes, the app sucks shit. The only good thing about it are the freebies. It double charged me for a $1 cheeseburger the other day.
Why is everyone complaining about the fact that they don't mix in the toppings? It's been like this for years now… if you don't like it then don't buy it.

Went to redeem it, added shaker fries onto my order, get to window and told machine is down and it 'used' by voucher so no mcflurry for me..
Last time I got a McFlurry all the cookies were dumped on top and when I queried this I was told they were not using the mixers anymore and it had to be manually mixed, I guess the teenager serving wasn't up to that task.
