Kind of think the site is a bit dodgy and risky… But some of the stuff on there is pretty cool. IF things do happen to go south… what options do I have?

i've used it a few times over the years. maybe 10 orders. all good. aliexpress is my usual go-to site for stuff, but occasionally dhgate has some crazy sales or killer coupons.
they hold your money in escrow and only release it to the buyer once you confirm receipt of the goods. or unless you don't confirm receipt and the time limit runs out.
if things don't pan out then they have their dispute service. I've never used it. but if it is like aliexpress's service then it would be good.
when looking at products make sure you read the description very carefully, check feedback for the seller and reviews of the product - i.e. they are all positive (or at least the negatives are minor -e.g. delivery took too long.
