they wont do it! its not really that good pizza etc except for the price

You have real italian pizza at Hornsby near the train station, thats much better and pretty cheap ;)

  • +2

Where in hades could that deal be normally $44.95 at Eagle boys?

I guess delivered….but that must be some premium.

    • +1

      So the neg is for?

      • the premise that $44.95 is an overinflated value price (which I agree it is), and that selling it for $19 is probably closer to what it should be selling for normally anyway. Dominos have a similar pack for $20-25…. so goodluck selling it for $44.95.

If the excitement generated on this site from Pizza deals is any guide, it wouldn't surprise me at all if many on here ARE that fat.

      • On my last weigh in I lost only 0.8%, and I have voted myself for elimination :-)

      • +2

yeah, all the most voted deals seem to be for pizza vouchers, soft drinks, dvds and games. so what does that say about the demographics of ozbargainers?

        • +1

          good taste ;)

  • +2

great deal and I always prefer Eagle Boys over the other shops

  • -1

    @ Dominos
    2 Large Pizzas = $10-12
    Garlic Bread + 1.25 = $5
    Chicken Wings = $5.95

    = $20.95 pickup

Not a very good deal, unless you need this for something specific.

Otherwise your going to buy this and go out of your way to use it up when you might not want exactly what they are offering.

    • delivered.

      • +1

Yup, thats why I mentioned it was pickup.

PURCHASING a voucher with an expiry date and the risk of getting bad service etc, why?

I would rather pay the extra money (or go somewhere decent for that price) and get it when I want, with the sides I want.

  • not a good deal. Eagle boy is not better than the like of pizza huts, dominoes etc. they are still fast food pizzas. dominos coupons are always around for $4.95 each, and you get garlic bread and coke for $5.

    • this includes 6 wings and is delivered. i think that covers the difference.

      • +1

Yup, but as mentioned, your forced to redeem exactly what they are offering, with risks of expiry and bad pizza etc.

Why would you not pay the extra $5 and get what you want when you want it?

  • +4

neg for influencing consumers that this scoopon deal is actually worth $44

  • My order came to $36.95 when I put in exact order for delivery - NOT $44!!!!!

    • So, it's still $17 cheaper, right?

      • +2

That's not the point. They advertise it as being $44 value when there is no way it could be. As with hudalton I also went online with the exact order they were advertising. Strangely mine came out to $34.55 (2 x $9.95 Traditional pizzas, $3.95 garlic bread, $6.50 chicken wings and $4.20 Coke), not $36.95 but still not $44.

  • so if we take out the $44 from the title, would all the negs disappear? surely it's still an excellent deal, costing less than half what it's probably really worth and pizza is already a pretty good deal anyway

    • cost isnt the issue, its the perceived value

    • its a good deal for those who pay full price for their pizzas but this is OzB and who here pays full price @ fast food pizza stores
