Ask your tastebuds
I'm not paying $65 to find out…
Do First Choice Liquor do free tastings ?
i dont think anyone does free tasting of commercial scotches or a regular basis
(I am happy to be corrected)
Maybe you can find it here

DM do. And not just the weekly tastings. You can ask if they have a certain whisky open for tasting.
IMHO I find Dalwhinnie smoother.
Cragganmore has more flavour, but I thought it was a bit rougher.
More rich and complex, and probably less gentle. Slightly more pronounced sherry influence (more cooked fruit / berry notes i guess). Not a bad step to take from Dalwhinnie (which i reckon is a perfect beginners scotch).
Spot on mate. They are my 2 fav along with green label and taliska storm
Try the Glendronach 15 if you get the chance! Another step up in terms of sherry influence.
Would Fanta or Sprite be best when paired with this?
🤣
Dr. Pepper
Why not both?
Oops, my bad. I completely forgot about the classic Scotch and Spranta.
Gonna have to try that 😁
I think you're onto something there
Always Irn Bru with whisky pal.
😍 if only it wasn’t so hard to get here lol
What percentage schweppervesence does it have?
100% girders
I've been looking for a bottle to try. This or Glengoyne 12 for $78?
https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_751138/glengoyne-12…
ive had Glengoyne 18 and i still prefer Dalwhinnie and this
For that price try and find the GlenDronach 12. It’s one of the best value for money Single makes out there, just not as easy to find locally. Plenty of online options at The Whisky List
If you’re shopping at Dan’s go for the Compass Box Spice Tree. It’s a bit boutique but hugely underrated.
The Loch Lomond 12 is the best thing at first choice in that range, but it’s been $10-15 cheaper than that recently so you might wait for that one.
Otherwise, go for the Glengoyne. They do things a bit more ‘craft’ and are a smaller company doing really good stuff!
You can also check out our whisky bot on FB Messenger. It make sure some cool recommendations
Thanks for that I'll take a look
DM is so quick to beat the price … cheaper by 5 cents.

Might was well just buy from the FC if they're only going to beat it by .05 smh
Got all excited when I saw MasterofMalt.com had it for $52.63. Less so when I saw it was UK based and delivery was $37.
Its a difficult one to get hold of. Our local (BIG) FirstChoice dont have it and wont let me pick up from there. They need to take a leaf out of OW who will let you order then pick up at the store of your (first?)choice
Yeah they cause problems as they advertise a lot here and don’t include shipping or taxes in their price. Taxes would be another $25-30 on top of the cost of the whisky itself and shipping.
How does it compare to Dalwhinnie?
