South Park: The Fractured but Whole - PC @ EB Games $23.00 Pickup

60

I buy most of my games online, South Park - The Fractured but Whole seems to be heavily region locked.

Seems to be same price on consoles as well.

The Stick of Truth (prior game of same / similar style) was well made and great for fans, very keen for this one.

It's also $24.95 on PSN store at moment.

Might work out cheaper if you calculate your fuel use, parking, or whether you take public transport, wear on your shoes due to walking… etc
    Plus instant gratification :)

OP's posted the PC version; the PSN price would be for PS4, right?

      • He mentioned consoles being same price

        MasterRace

  • Reviews for this game are quite bad. Personally I'd wait until it drops below $10.

    • It's not that it's a bad game, it's just very similar to the first game so if you played stick of truth this one is pretty meh.

      • Doesn't really explain the huge drop in ratings:

Stick of Truth - 97% positive on Steam
Fractured But Whole - 68% positive

Not everyone who played this game would have played the first one, and if it is in fact very similar to the first game, that would be a plus for many people.

Didn't a different company develop this game? I think that's the reason.

Different developer, but the story is still written/voiced by the South Park team. Despite that the story is a bit weaker, though. But still enjoyable. At least a chunk of those negative reviews are for the DLC, which the first one didn't really have (beyond a costume pack) - some reviewers saw it as a 'should have been in the base game' cash grab.

    • Uhh no they're not?

  • Would prefer to get this on steam as I have had trouble in the past getting steam controller to work with third party added on games within big picture mode.

    • The steam version still launches the uplay interface to play this game (some of steam's negative reviews mention it if you want to check), so you can't avoid the third party by buying it there.

  • Got an email from SP team overnight that they've released another DLC, looks like Friday the 13th camp horror or something haha
