Just noticed this stain when moving the bed. Anyone have any idea on cleaning it? I dunno what I spilled on it but shampooing the carpet and stain treating it hasn’t done any good.
How to clean old carpet stain?
Comments
I honestly have no idea. It’s quite a old stain. But today I hired a carpet cleaner from Bunnings today, but it hasn’t removed the stain.

Try shannon lushes mix
Might have to go over the stain with a few (or a lot) of passes.
There's a chance (from the colouration) that it's a mild burn mark. In which case it's not coming out no matter what you do.
vinegar + baking soda
let it soak
yep…dampen stain with white vinegar…sprinkle bicarb over it and work it in with a softish brush > allow to dry - may take quite a few days - before vacuuming. Good Luck!
you have to be careful what you use, a lot of cleaning products don't destroy the DNA evidence
time to get the blacklight out.
Fire will clean it up real good.
Make another stain ontop of the old stain
first what colour is the carpet? I rented a unit yrs ago with a very light cream carpet spilt coffee on it, made a weak bleach solution rubbed it with a damp cloth a few times faded to almost imperceptible got bond back no worries
Try 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 1 part dish-washing liquid. Use in a spray bottle. Test a small area first.
Spray on and sponge / paper towel out.
Do you know what exactly it is? Stains react to cleaning agents based on their composition. Or you can go all out, hire a heavy duty carpet cleaner and use that - but you'll have to clean the whole room/house because the difference in cleanliness will be stark otherwise.
