Inspire 250 TC Quilt Cover Set King Size $15 (Was $59) @ Woolworths

40

Found these quilt cover sets on special at my local Woolworths for $15(original price is $59), and each set comes with one quilt cover and 2 standard pillow cases. It does say Cotton/Polyester(not sure about percent of each) but I've opened mine and I think the feel and quilaty is great. It says Special instead of Clearance on receipt so I assume it's national wide, but I couldn't find these on Wws website so better to go and check your local store for stock.

I have bought one of these sets last time they were reduced- they are such horrible quality fabric save your money

      Probably because they're 50% polyester.

Good enough as a lounge cover for my dog.

    • That's probably why it's going so cheap.

Better to spend a bit more on sheridan.

What like $150 more? Sheridan is ridiculous!

If you don't care about the particular design, you can usually get Sheridan quilt cover sets for about $50 (at least for queen size, king may be slightly more). Wait for the myer stocktake sale to start, then wait for the extra 30% off red ticketed items, then go in store and look for the clearance bins which are marked extra 30% off, usually in the aisles near the manchester section (but not necessarily near the full price sheridan stuff). There will be some designs which they are trying to get rid off that will be red ticketed (but make sure that the set you pick up is red ticketed because sometimes they miss a few when relabelling). Don't forget to stack with 6% off myer gift cards.

Keep in mind also that the sheridan set will last many years longer than this woolies set, and will be more comfortable.

My Sheridan is over 25 years and still looks great.

        • @Scab:

Production was very different 25 years ago. The only common thread (geddit?) is the name on the label.

Also, Sheridan are currently selling king quilt cover sets for $72. There are better deals in store in the outlets (but make sure you buy sheridan brand and not sheridan outlet brand), although I think the best deals are on clearance at myer as per my other post. These are quality items which will last - I currently have a sheridan quilt cover in rotation which is 20 years old and I have not noticed a deterioration in quality with recent purchases.

If you are tight with money or strapped for cash, get a $9 quilt set from Big W (all sizes).
If you are after good quality - spend more for something better.

    • The irony is that it's made of Microfibre and it's another term for Polyester. You definitely don't want a 100% polyester bed sheeting well not in hot climates for sure. That bed quilt cover is nothing but crap and a waste of $9.

      • Well yeah it's a quilt set for winter..
Also, I know it's complete crap but it's better than spending $15 on complete crap.

At this price it can just be used as a throw or bed decorator without actually intent to use.

        • At least that $15 other crap is not 100% Polyester.

        • @hollykryten: I'm not sure if you would still actually use it at $15.
At this price you aren't going to get anything but crap so might as well make it the cheapest crap you can find.
Considering $9 is an everyday price and the Woolworths one is normally $59? Think Woolies one is even more crap.
