SONY MDR Bluetooth Headphone Warranty Replacement Issue

Hi team looking for guidance here.

In 2017 I bought a MDR Sony Bluetooth headset, as a refurbished item.

It arrived faulty (wouldn’t charge) as such I requested and had returned it and got a replacement.

Within 12 months (warranty period) the replacement headphones became faulty (wouldn’t charge). Again I requested and had returned it and sony replaced it with another new headset.

Now the second replacement (third headset) become faulty within 3 months of receiving them (the plastic pivot/swivel point on one of the speaker arms broke).

I called Sony, and have been told after 30 minutes of negotiation that I am only eligible for 30% (initially I was only offered 10%) off of the Sony store.

Frankly I feel as if the 12 month warranty period should apply when the product was replaced. Thoughts? Am I being too frugal? Do I have a case for a refund? Or failing that a replacement under warranty?

Mucho Gracies in advance

same story like me with refubh soundbar (sony damage box sale). they repaired 3x within 5 months each time come back broken again in few days/weeks and one time actually they broke a pin! and then wanted to repair again for the 4th times:
i said no full refund please
    they said no.
    i went to ACCC
they melted like butter in sydney summer and gave full refund.
    will never buy sony again.

    summary:
5 months in hell with sony

  • There's manufacturer warranty and there's your consumer guarantees. Exercise your consumer guarantees.

  • yap, one would expect headphones to last longer than 12 months. The fact that it's broken down many times, i'll get a full refund and get something else…
