Has anyone bought standalone ps4 pro from eb games in this month? I am trying to get a low firmware pro console but can't find the proper info to pull the plug. I was thinking all the pro had low firmware but that may not be the case.
Also, i cant find any bundle for ps4 pro except fortnite bundle which really sucks as they have updated firmware. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

i don't condone jailbreaking as i like supporting developers.
Not sure if this will work, but why dont you buy a cheap 1tb 2.5inch hard drive for the ps4 (theyre around $65 from msy at the moment). Then proceed to find a download for an older firmware for the ps4. When you swap the hard drive, it will force you to manually install a firmware from an external source like a USB, just use the old firmware to set it up.
Again, no clue if this will work. I'd assume there would be some kind of internal ROM on the ps4 that may not allow this to happen if the ps4 has already been updated.
If this was for sure, i would definitely try it
I was in your situation. After much searching I just went with a slim. Once/when a newer HEN method arrives ill sell and grab a pro.

BigW about 3 weeks back. The slim 500gb models were almost all guaranteed to be 5.05. I purchased two and both were on 4.73.

Can you give the model number of the ps4. Currently, I am trying to buy cuh 2102b ps4 slim but not sure if i should pull the plug.
I think they're all 5.50 - my standalone one from Big W (purchased in June) came with that. Probably only preowned ones left that might have the older firmware…and even then who knows, EB might just update it to the latest firmware before reselling it. If I recall, only the Slims still have the old firmware for jailbreaking.
Try a place like the Good Guys as they won't have much of a turnover. The serial number will give you a clue as to what firmware it has. The date code at the back of the console will let you know when it was manufactured. You won't have to turn it on but will have to take it out of the box. Keep searching - it will be worth it in the end.
