Mass Effect Trilogy (PC) - $9 at EB Games (Digital Download key)

500

I recently played Mass Effect Andromeda on PS4 and actually liked it (I know, heresy), so thought I would look out for the original trilogy on PC. Spotted it EB Games Waterfront City for $9, also available for the same price online (probably plus delivery). Seems like it's close to the lowest ever price. Enjoy!

hope they release a 4K remastered

You can easily mod them to get them look AMAZING.

      VERY easy mod.

    • You can just adjust the settings on PC to do just that.

      Add mods and well…done.

Considering what we saw in the Burnout paradise "remaster" the resolution slider on pc does the same effect. "remasters" mostly are just to nickle and dime console players because most games are not back compat. It the same game, you are just paying full price to get the high res settings that pc get from day 1. Most of the time, you are also stuck to 30fps (see skyrim, farcry 3).

Does anyone know how I can get the DLC for cheap?

    • +1

you have to spend $ to buy bioware points or something, then spend the points buying the DLC. And the points have never been on sale as far as I know.

There are some patches out there which unlock the DLC for you though

Sorry i negged, but for some reason this site doesnt allow you to un-vote. I would change it to positive but i dont want to because this information is now wrong as of a little bit ago.

They have released DLC packs for ME2 and ME3 that you just buy like any game on origin. I think they are around $25 and $30 respectively. So still not super cheap but when you get the whole trilogy and all DLC for $65 thats pretty great as thats an easy 120 hours of fun just on first playthrough (and i've done 4)

oh seems you're right. recently added onto origin store dec'17

    Is this steam or origin?

    • +2

Most likely Origin since ME3 isnt on Steam (not sure if it ever was)

    • +1

      It's origin

    • Damn no geforce now then!

Could've played all 4 games (Andromeda included) for $6.99 on EA Access.

    • +5

I'd be impressed if you finished all 4 in a month.

      • Why rush? You could sub for 3 months and still save 20% on this deal plus Andromeda ($17 from CD Keys).

        • Yeah but if you buy it your whole family and friends and their friends can play it.. even better if it on steam with family library sharing. I do this with my steam account.. many happy and friendly satisfied customers.

        • @AlienC: Sharing your origin account is actually against the T&C's and i've seen people online that have reported getting their accounts banned from doing so. Also this deal is not for steam.

        • @DyingSpree: my bad yeah don't do that with anything but steam as I know it is ok with steam family sharing but don't think origin or uplay have these functionalities but unsure.

        • @AlienC: Correct, the steam family share feature is great however Ubisoft and EA haven't got around to it.

  • I bought this for €5.95 (~$9) on Kinguin and it is still at that price.

  • One of the best trilogy’s ever. However there is currently no cheap way to acquire all DLC from what I know. Fingers crossed for a remaster/compilation with all DLC.

    • +1

You can at least get them as proper bundles for ME2 and ME3 on origin now (no longer weird bioware points), they are $25 and $30 but have gone on sale too.
So $65 all up is probably around what a full release would likely be anyway if they did one (they won't now that they changed how to buy the DLC).

  • I too thoroughly enjoyed Andromeda. One of the best games I've ever spent $20 on.

  • +2

Great trilogy, although you do miss out on some of the best stories by not owning the DLCs. Cheapest the DLC bundles have gotten were 40% off in June ($21 for ME2 DLC bundle and $24 for ME3 DLC bundle). Just something to keep in mind if you do buy this, prepare to fork out even more if you want to own everything. That's how EA gets you by selling the base game cheap.

  • Im not mad that you liked andromeda (it was treated a bit harshly). I am mad that you played it before the original trilogy.
    I am very disappoint.

    • +3

In his defence it only gets better then..

  • If you seriously dont own all three games by this stage, you must've lived in a cave. They've always been discounted for the last half a decade on Steam sales, Origin and for console players, on PS Store and Microsoft. They were practically giving away ME1 and 2 on Humble Bundle and Origin at a few stages.

    • I do not have ME1 - always missed the sales although I am not sure if it is really true that the games were so cheap that they were basically given away.
If you have a spare copy from all these sales, I and the kids would be very interested in getting a copy.

  • Are there any particular mods people recommend for these games?
