This would explain why Air NZ cancelled their alliance with Virgin. Bad news for competition.

Yes, the dates suck and I too could not get the $235 deal out of Melbourne… is this just cheap publicity?

If they do have an new Qantas alliance I wonder if they QF code share then? At least with Jetstar i can get in the Qantas pub at either end
