Werthers Original Sugarfree $3 for 4 Pks (Less than 1/2 Price) @ The Reject Shop

580

The reject shop is currently selling these 4 packs of sugarfree werthers. They are the original candies made in germany.

I use these all the time to persuade my autistic son to brush his teeth. Theyre quite expensive little things tho.

Around a 1.70 per pack at aldi so this is effectively under half price. Best before date is 31 aug 2018.

  • Thanks, will check my local Reject Shop and get some for my bad mouth dentist :-)!

I don't know Werther this is worth a dentist trip or not.

Lol! I sweet what u did there!

I guessing your son prefers a Werthers to a slap in the face with a wet fish.

    • I offer him the candy, then I brush his teeth for a slow count of five, then he can eat the candy. It took a lot of wrestling to get to this stage.

How does this compare to colgate? It's definitely cheaper, wondering if I should stock up.

He brushes his teeth, and then gets the candy. If I gave him candy with sugar, I would have to brush his teeth again.

      • You realise that sugar-free candy can be just as bad, right?

Most products sold in this store are fake. Stay away it’s a total waste of money.

    • Only if imported = fake. Apparently not.

    • Yes it’s a import, nothing wrong with buying imports.
You must be one of those who likes to drink locally made international beers lol

      • It depends upon where they are imported from! Some countries, like China, have a horrendous reputation for poor products…bad enough when it is something you wear etc. unacceptable if it is something you consume. The latest scandal from China is about fake vaccines! Some 'good' countries also assemble products using crap ingredients from other countries and then claim them to be a product of 'whichever good country' is applicable (NZ an example) and they get away with it because the government panders to big business here and allows it to happen.

        • These are made in Germany.

If your so worried about big business screwing your food, grow your own food. Otherwise it’s a complete waste of time worrying about the made in NZ stuff imported from else where.

  • Is 'sugar free' a synonym for chemically enhanced?

    These things taste nasty

    Stick to the originals

    • Better than the $2 sugarfree ones at Big W. He will take these more readily. I agree that they would probably taste better with sucralose in place of Acesulfame K.

  • It doesn't seem to be all stores. I went to the one at Sunnybank Hills but they had none and said they weren't in the current catalogue…maybe just select store(s)

    • Sorry about that, i got these from the garden city store. They had plenty of them.

Surely you see the irony here, giving your son sweets to brush his teeth completely defeats the purpose.

    • You should probably read the description again.

      • +1

I'm assuming your referring to the fact he's autistic. As far as I know, autistic people don't have different teeth mate

    • Sugar free you moron.

      • +1

You don't seriously think that means it doesn't effect your teeth do you?

  • Thanks picked them up this morning

thanks OP - I got some today. Ignore these nay-sayers, they have no clue about how difficult it is. If they have a positive constructive alternative for you , then they should advise, otherwise, they can stf up.
