25% off All BCC, Greater Union and Event Cinemas Gift Cards! (+ $8 Express Postage)

80

Hi guys

Noticed that they've got 25% off all Event Cinemas, Greater Union Cinemas and BCC Cinemas.

$40 Gift card for $30
$55 Gift card for $41.25
$75 Gift card for $56.25
$100 Gift card for $75
$150 Gift card for $112.50

Seems that no matter what combination or number of gift cards you buy, the shipping is capped at $8, so buying a few of the $150 ones and getting them shipped together might be the way to go for people who like to go to the movies often.

Enjoy!

Watch for the expiry date "All promotional gift cards are available for use at the cinemas between 1 February and 30 April 2011 only."

I have already noted expiry date as part of the Submit Deal form

Thanks lechuck123 for pointing it out.

@Nyman, that is for when the ability to purchase the deal expires, not when the actual gift cards expire. Many deals on OzBargain are only available for a short time period, so that is used to help plan if you have to buy straight away or not, rather than the expiry date of the actual goods purchased.

lechuck123 has pointed out that the cards themselves have a fairly short expiry which is very useful to anyone looking to buy these.

    • Should be noted that you can actually for example, buy a $150 gift card from the website above for $112.50 (plus postage) and then go instore to any BCC/GU/Event cinema and use that $150 to buy another $150 gift card over the counter with 12 months expiry!

So the expiry date on gift cards should not be a concern, if you get in to a cinema before they expire.

Gift Cards are just payment sources and you can buy whatever you like with them: Tickets, Food and Beverage, Vouchers etc etc….

No deal for me… the price of postage kills it.

    • postage kills the deal for lower denominations and short dates kills the deal for larger denominations.

Should also note, if you buy a voucher for 25% off, consider using the gift card to then buy a book of screen savers in cinema, that way you are getting even more value for money, so if you pay $112.50 for a $150card, buy a book of 10 for $120 (of that $150) you will be able to buy over 10 tickets for about $11each… Thats tuesday prices EVERYDAY!
