[Pre-Order] Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for Nintendo Switch $69 Delivered @ Amazon AU

Cheap for this game considering RRP is $99.95 at both EB and on the eShop. Not sure we'll have a huge discounting from retailers like JB and Big W on launch for this one.

Free normal shipping if no prime, or expedited if you have prime.

Release date is August 28.

This is not a title where they are offering launch day delivery, but at least this is a Tuesday launch (weird for Switch as most are Fridays), so should arrive on the Thursday.

If you still have your $10 Amazon Credit makes it pretty nice as well.

Amazon don't charge for pre-orders until it ships, and if somehow the price drops further you'll get the cheapest price. Easily cancelled if you change your mind (although you won't get your voucher back).

I think you can get 6% cashback on this via Cash Rewards as well.

  • thank u for posting, i was going to buy it at full price on release day

  • This game only runs at 30 FPS if the Japanese version is to go by.

    • which is great for a handheld Monster Hunter game

      • Given that MHW struggles to keep 30fps at moments on PS4

I've spent 300+ hours on the PS4 Monster Hunter World. I feel like I'm "obliged" to buy this…

    • Have you played any other monster hunters? I ask because World is the casual difficulty mode of the series. You're getting into the real stuff here.

      • +1

I wouldn't say world is the 'casual' difficulty mode of the series, World is still not 'complete', as in we're still waiting for G rank, more large monsters to be added.

MHGU is a solid title, the addition of style does change it up, if you want a 'real' MH, I would recommend MH4U.

Also, it is hard to backwards in MH for most people because the QoL changes, e.g. there's no item sets in MH3U

Just remember, charm farming is no joke :P

        • You can't say it's hard to go back and then recommend MH4U! The 3DS screen is lethal to your eyes lol
There's nothing really difficult in World though, a decent team can annihilate tempered elders. Infact I can solo most of them without getting hit. I can't say that's ever been possible for me in previous games. We don't even know that we'll ever get G Rank in World either.
