I tried this one. Was rubbish, very uneven shave. I'd rather let Michael J Fox shave me

but its cheap, so I wont neg it

I feel like a terrible person for laughing at that comment…

  • i prefer to use the ones you just buy new blade for.. like gillete power and the free fusion razor i just got in the mail. the blades last like 3 months and do good job for face aswell as ball and chain.

    • +24

      I read that as:

and do good job for face aswell as balls and chin.

      Was like WTF???

      • Think of Peter Griffin from Family Guy. He has balls on his chin.

    • +1

… and I was thinking: how does "ball and chain" rhyme with "wife" etc? :)

    • +1

I wouldnt put anything electrical with razors anywhere near my ball region………

    • +1

      I loled.

  • $15 is very cheap indeed. But believe me or not, I saw it once at Miranda Aldi store (Sydney) for $5 clearance. So yeah, if you can wait & if you're lucky enough (I mean they don't sell out fast), you can get cheaper than $15.

  • even at this price don't bother, i got one before, bad battery life and after shaving skin feels like it's on fire and it still doesn't cut properly!

  • I can see I'd better try the goods myself before submission no2 (I didn't have enough $$$s left to pick one up, was going to try tomorrow.) I'll put it down as a good learning experience. :)

  • I've seen these steadily drop in price over the weeks and I have been tempted..

But as hot as I am with my groomed stubble I cant risk using this piece of kit, I'm sure it wouldn't impress the ladies, nor Lance and Luke.

People.. There are times when a man as awesome as me has to spend the monies. kk

  • **** Warning Will Robinson, Warning Will Robinson ****

I bought this electric razor and returned it used the same day as it is total rubbish!!!

    • -1

I did the same. I got it and returned it the next day. The shave was very uneven.

      • +1

How can they let you return a personal grooming product? They can't possibly re-sell it for hygienic reasons…

        • +1

unsuitable for purpose, but really, if you expect more from a cheapo shaver they really should tell you to grow up and be responsible for your purchases. Don't expect a $200 performance from a $15 shaver.

        • +1

I didn't think you could return shavers either until a guy at Shaver Shop told me that all their expensive shavers (like $300+) have a 60 day return policy. Go figure.

    • any "return policy" doesnt trump the "fit for purpose" implications of every consumer transaction in Australia.

      • too many good s are not fit for the purpose and we should have more of the 60 day return policies, especially for hard sell items.

  • Best Rechargeable Razor deal Ever?

I doubt it very very very much…

  • Did you just update it to say, "My first submitted deal ;)"?

    • No. I put that in at the beginning - having seen some finely honed comments from well-shaven beasts before ;)

I simply deleted a few superfluous words (not realizing it would flag it as updated).

  • I've never been a fan of the straight 'blade' electric razors.
I bought a Braun one pretty cheap, it felt like it was just ripping the hair out.
I promptly had my phillishave repaired (3 circle blades) and whenever I use an electric razor now thats what I use.

When it comes to electric razors, it seems you can't skimp, regardless of brand.

  • i bought an aldi 3 blade one a while back after it was reduced from $39 down to $29. it still works ok.

  • +2

This shaver works well for my lady parts to keep me nice and tidy also it tickles and I like the feeling it gives me.

    • lol… what…

    • You'd probably enjoy an Epilady then, eh?

      :-P

  • Useless, i bought this a while ago, it never worked and i had to throw it away

    • +1

Aldi are famous for their quality control & value for money, and their returns policies are equally as good - and they have been borne out by my personal experience over many years.

happyantix, you could have got your money back.

  • Bought one over a year ago and it was absolute rubbish.

  • -1

i got this from aldi last Sunday and it's a shit shaver.

  • +3

Just my two cents. Full Disclosure - I have not used this shaver.

However, I have used a high end foil type razor before and was very disappointed with it. (Even after giving myself a few weeks to get used to it.)

I have also used a cheap rotary as well as a high end rotary. I find it does the job - both of them gave acceptable results for me. AFTER a few weeks of forcing myself to use it.

Best shaves I've gotten were always with a real razor.

I've known a few fellas who swear by the foil type and find the rotary type rubbish. Basically, I think different folks will find different types of electric razors acceptable.

    • use electric remington and philips with few problems except the remington foil broke.
find it less likely to cut me up - electrically.
the other tends to ause new growth as you extend the shaving area
