Suggestions on how to transform a Pandora voucher into cash

I have some wonderful friends who gave me a $$$ Pandora gift card for my recent birthday. The only problem is I hate Pandora jewellery, I see it as over priced costume jewellery.

What are your suggestions on how to turn it into cash so I can buy some jewellery I like? I want to lose as little of the face value as possible. I’m also suspicious of selling it online to someone and losing it through some kind of scam.

My only thought is I can buy some things on sale or when there is a free gift and then on sell them. Unfortunately while their returns policy is good they only refund back on to a gift card :(

    If it's a physical gift card, sell it for cash only. Notes only, no bank deposit, no PayPal, no cheque. Easy. Chances of fake notes is low imo. Unless you do something stupid, you can't really be scammed- apart from wasted time if the person doesn't show up.

    I see it as over priced costume jewellery.

    That it is, but you didn't pay for it.

    • Your friends bought it for you, spend it on a design you like and appreciate it - it will be special as you would never have bought it.
    • Sell the voucher to someone you know (though your friends won't necessarily be happy with that!).
    • Gift it to someone else, saves you the $$$ from being a gift for them..

      I don’t appreciate wasting my friends money any more than I do my own :)

      I also don’t really like any of their designs. Pandora is a very particular style and the minimal jewellery I wear is of a more classic style.

        they have a new range which is more "traditional", think plain link necklaces/bracelets. Check them out before you make a decision as they do have a product offering outside of the gothic looking beads :D

    I agree. Pandora seems like trinket rubbish and myself and my friends go to the store every few weeks to laugh at the items they sell for our instagram.

      And it’s been so successful that we now have the Michael Hill version (Emma and Roe) popping up everywhere too!

    I think you should put the gift card in a locked box. Just make sure never to open it…
