  • Negging because there is no evidence product does what it promises.

  • Since people are "up in arms" about this, I kind of want to point out the scientific literature on this actually exists:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23975128

Several studies have found that EBN may enhance cell proliferation and differentiation and various beneficial effects have been reported in vitro as well as in vivo.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4727516/

The results showed that EBN could promote the proliferation and activation of B-cells and increase IgE, IgA, IgM, and IgG3 levels. We also found that EBN extract can promote the secretion of sIgA in the small intestine. Using cyclophosphamide (CY), we established an immunosuppressed mouse model in which we identified a reversal influence on the ratio of CD3+/CD19+ cells, which indicates that EBN also protects B-cells from the damage induced by CY. We also applied polymyxin B to exclude the interference of lipopolysaccharide throughout the experiment. In conclusion, we found that EBN can reduce the intestinal immune injury induced by CY by accelerating the proliferation and activation of B-cells and enhancing antibody secretion of B-cells.

    • May and could means it's not conclusive and it is still being studied.

      • Yes - but it's also not "no evidence product does what it promises." It's just inconclusive evidence, but the science seems to be still out on if it does or not.

Think of it like OJ Simpson's glove. It's not conclusive evidence, but it's also not "no evidence."

        • no evidence product does what it promises

No conclusive scientific evidence it does.

If it were so conclusive they would have found the evidence by now.

        • @Scab: Right. Evidence != Proof. There's evidence, it's just so far inconclusive. There's no proof of its health benefits. I can agree with that.

        • @Scab: You can say that about plenty of medicines on the market.
Go ask a doctor about chemo, they won't say with 100% certainty that it will work on you. Does that mean it is a hoax? does that mean it isn't medicine? no.

Chemotherapy just has evidence that it worked on somebody before, but it doesn't have 100% evidence that it will work on 100% of people. Therefore it is still technically inconclusive.

Sadly that's how the world is, people understand a tablet will fix you and give 100% faith to it. But when somebody gives you a tree bark, they say its BS and cannot work. Like Morphine was derived from herbs.

If you told somebody to boil water with opium poppy they will think you are crazy, but if you give somebody a morphine pill they are cool with it.
