You don't get updated squads, your mates all move onto the new one, online becomes a wasteland with nobody to play with.

I mean, it's a soccer game. The core mechanics don't really change much.
Like I said, if you're getting this for local one off playing here and there, cheap. If you're buying for online multiplayer, not as cheap. Ronaldo will have less wrinkles, but he'll also still be at Madrid, when he's meant to be at Juve. Most importantly, you'll have very few mates to play with online.
@tightm8: if people really wanted to get it for online, they would have gotten it on release week. online is FUT mainly and all the other online modes besides gets stale within a week.

I would have bought the Switch version for sure, just as another game to have in the back pocket to bust out for some local multiplayer.
I have it on Switch as well, but it doesn't use the Frostbite engine that the console versions use. I wasn't a big fan of it on the Switch, it felt like the clunkier, old FIFA offerings for the PS VITA.
