I bought an Optus 4g wifi modem E5573 and have found it needs a full size sim card. The Optus sim I want to use is a nano size. I have just used another sim that was full size and have taken out the nano sim and am left with the remainder. Can I put my nano sim in this and use it as an adaptor for the modem. I have read that you run the risk of it getting stuck in the device if it is not a good fit, but this advice was for phones and the modem's sim slot is fairly accessible. Has anyone successfully done this before or should I just buy an adaptor?

yep. i also apply stick tape to one side.
It should work. But if you are still concerned, you should be able to get a replacement full sized sim from Optus store.
I have this modem and put in a micro sim with no adapter. Just kind of lined it up with the contacts and the sim clip holds it in. Still hasn't dislodged in a month.
I'm perplexed at how they are making money on that!?
The $1 charged would only cover postage costs!? What about the item, ebay, paypal fees and PROFIT?
No idea :) Maybe they re-use stamps from letter they receive :P
Or not stamp at all ;)
walk into a optus store with some ID and they'll do a sim swap to the correct size for you (FREE).
i do that. i use the old skeletons from sim cards
