Doesn't seem to be active yet.

    • They're live now

    • Active now.

Big discount for qc35 too. $329.99

  • Just went active after tickover to 12.00pm. The banner was up early.

Echo plus will be the cheapest so far

If their "daily deal" tab is any indication of what they have over the next few hours this is going to be disappointing. Except maybe this which has a prime deal at 5:45 pm: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01BH928KM/ref=gbps_tit_m-9_507…

  • mmm so i ordered the Echo (2nd Gen) and Echo Dot yesterday for $149… this is a $1 saving on that so I don't really care… what I am wondering however is should I see if I can cancel and get the Plus? I don't have any of the Zigbee automation stuff so I'm thinking maybe no?

My mini review of the Fire TV Stick for those keen:

    • Any youtube or Twitch apps for the Fire Tv Stick?

      • +1

        Yep.

There is a native app for Twitch, and a "browser" app for YouTube (which has been done so well you would think you were using a native app).

look at the daily deals section on the desktop website. It's mostly frying pans and stuff :-(

  • Might want to change the deal date to today and not tomorrow

This is a real fizzer so far… prices are meh meh
I hope some killer deals like those earlier Delonghi half price coffee machines turn up

  • +1

There are definitely some good deals, but some of the products look like they were sourced straight off Aliexpress, at prices which match everyday eBay prices.

It's lacking a lot of tech deals. e.g phones and laptops are quite absent from the list, as are big ticket things like TV's.

      Lots of home appliances though.

  • +1

unimpressive deals. The kitchen appliance sale from the other week was far better and there was no hoopla around that sale

  • Thanks, bought an echo dot and used the $10 prime video promo to make it $29 delivered

  • Tempted to get the echo dot but already don't use my Google home mini..

  • I got an Echo dot to try out, $39 is nothing.
The rest of these sales are awful though.

  • Got the Fire Stick for $29.00. Finally used my voucher:)

We have been loving the EchoPlus in our home. Very versatile and cheap to add home automation to it.

  • Is the Echo/Alexa ecosystem any good for someone who is fairly attached to Google? I'm a heavy user of Google Music, Movies, Chromecast etc.

After discovering the Amazon/Google stoush while trying to play my first Prime Video, I'm not sure that an Echo will be useful. Although, happy to play around with IFTTT, Plex etc…

i have a bunch of echo's but havent tried google home yet. From what i understand Echo is much better at home automation (many more devices supported) but google is better at google stuff (obviously) and general "talking" - better at natural language.

Echo will link to your google calendar so you can update/interact with that, but not google music, etc.
