In Need of a New Split System Aircon 6kw+. Any Good Deals out There?

Hi All,

I'm in the market for a split system 6kw + air conditioner.

Anyone that knows of a good deal?

I missed the Panasonic deal last week and looking for something in those lines.

I picked up a Panasonic 6kw for $1290 on eBay a few months ago (during a 10% discount limited to a max of $100, listed at $1390), plus $150 cashback (EFTPOS card) which arrived last week.

Actually just looked for you: currently 6kw is $1559.40 on eBay and eligible for 25% for eBay Plus members, so works out to $1169.55. With $150 cashback still available and Cashrewards, should work out to be right on $1k.

I think this is about the best deal you will get on a 6kw from a highly-regarded air con brand.

i note you are also in brisbane.

make sure your aircon has a dehumidifier/dry function.

if an air cond in bris has only chill function then it is going to use way too much energy trying to cool humid air. it will work but will be expensive.

i only use the "dry" function on my Panasonic and that keeps the house pleasantly cool.

and uses a third of the power of trying to chill the air.
