List price just dropped from $1208 to $1149.
The Note 9 will be revealed/launched next month, will probably closer to $1500 at launch, but something to keep in mind. This seems like a good deal for Australian stock.

Yes it will have a price drop, but depends on how soon your wife needs a phone. If she doesnt need one with an S-Pen, you should consider getting the S8 or S8+ which is very similar in specs and functionality and a few hundred dollars cheaper (can be had for $650 with PROXY):
