I can't imagine it's a hugely popular tourist destination, the less popular something is typically the more costly it is. Plus competitions always quote the RRP to sound more appealing. PLUS it's a competition to win it for free, why consider the price?!

Getting on the boat from Argentina to Antarctica is like 10k each person alone. Plus it’s a comp. inflated rrp
Digging deeper into the website indicates this trip is $17,200 per person in that cabin.
Trips to Antarctica are never cheap, and aren't for the faint-hearted either. Crossing the Drake Passage is pretty much potentially the most violent boat trip you can take.
I don't entered many competitions usually, but I am soooo entering this. This is like a dream trip. One that I can't afford. LOL
21k per person, including flights is about normal for Antarctic
Can't believe the whingers would even bother commenting if they are not happy with this experience of a lifetime! Has been a lifetime dream, if they're not happy it gives we who are interested a greater chance. :-)
