Location Suggestions of 10+ Floor Buildings with Stairs That Is Open to The Public in Melbourne City

Does anyone know of any Melbourne City buildings that have about 10 or more floors that can be climbed by the general public and not limited to building staff only, as I like to climb stairs as a form of fitness during my lunch break or after 5pm, not keen on the expensive gym memberships from City Gyms.

I'm Starting a new job at ground level in 2 weeks, previously worked in taller buildings,
Thanks.

  • Probably easier to buy a stepper machine

    • Don't have the room, stair climbers are expensive - office building = Free

  • The liability you would expose the builder owner to would probably discourage public access. However, if you could find a shop or similar which gives you a legitimate reason to be in the building…

  • Try a multi storey carpark, do a google search. Just tell security before you do. They may stop you due to insurance issues and potential slips and falls.

    • Might be an option if i cant find anything else, but they only seem to go up to about 8 or 9 levels.

Can you not do 5 levels but more repeats?

In a car park you could climb up then skateboard down for repeats.

Can't suggest buildings but his site might give you some ideas on places with stairs in the open air.

more likely the cops guarding the place will "move you on".

  • find a cliff top esplanade with stairs

  • RMIT?

  • Most multilevel carpark have accessible stairs.

  • Does your building have more than 10 levels? If you work there, you can climb the stairs. Otherwise, the 1000 steps would be a good work out once or twice a week? Most places would have an issue with you going up and down the stairs due to a liability concern especially if you don't work there.

RMIT isn't a bad suggestion but you will likely be moved on by security.

Seriously I'd just pay for a gym membership or at least do a trial
