[eBay Plus] Pro-Ject Essential MKII Phono USB Turntable $295.50 Delivered @ GraysOnline eBay

PROXY

Quite possibly the lowest price this has ever been. Best mid range turntable that normally costs $350 at JB. Simple to set up and delivers clear and crisp sounds.

    Vendor in title please.

  • The essential MKII is not quite as quality as the Carbon right?

    • Yea, I think to carbon is meant to be the next model up

  • Anyone have one and i have been looking at the audio technica LP120 - naturally more expensive, but feel it gets better reviews than this - so keep to know anyone that has either….. sadly the LP120 is not on special anywhere.

LP120 is great but they fill different needs. The LP120 is direct drive, which you need if you DJ, whereas this is a belt driven TT. Belt drives supposedly reduce some of the vibrations produced by the motor. The LP120 doesn't have much clearance between the tonearm and the platter (actually none) so you can't add a tonearm Q-UP type device, which is a major bummer for me. Many people remove/bypass the internal pre-amp and USB out as it supposedly has a negative impact on the sound quality. I haven't done that but I don't use the USB feature either.

  • This is a better turntable than the one at JB as it is USB version and has USB output so you can convert your LPs to digital formats (need software to do so). Also WHAT HI-FI 2015 - Best Turntable Under $500 winner (though what hifi reviews are generally rubbish 😁). A great price for this well reviewed turntable. I bought one 😊

  • Anyone know if this comes with a Stylus? The JB Hi-Fi one for 345 has an Ortofon OM5E with it though can't see that with this one?

This one comes with an Ortofon OM5E but has an adapter to use other stylus like the AT ones.
