Go along to see if that $80k car investment is better than property
Tickets are usually $30 per day or $50 for 3 days - in reality, I'd be surprised if anyone pays to go to these types of 'expos'

Is there a special section for foreign buyers?
Maybe there's a special section for local buyers, hahaha.
Very good point
I went to property expo that was on in May at the ICC. It all seemed aimed at foreign investors, most of the signage wasn’t in English. Don’t bother if your budget is under $500,000 either.
@jeka1103: 他妈的中国人
These expos should always be FREE as they are trying to SELL to the public.
Given the current market condition, exhibitors should PAY the public to go and spend serious dollars on their property projects ha
If you pay to visit an expo infested with sales people who try to sell you something, they can see a sucker coming.
I've been to a few auctions lately. I'm surprised they can find enough buyers to run an expo, even if it was free.
and I'm negging this because the discount is complete BS, a quick search shows it's always free. This is basically just an ad.

I think that's actually a different expo altogether. The website in the description for the event you've posted is for the Australian Property Expo, not the Property Buyer Expo.
I stand corrected. neg removed
Looks like they do indeed try and get money out of people to attend (and give away a lot of free tickets) each year.
Code works for Melbourne too, I just tried and successfully received my confirmation email :)
Anything to keep the ponzi scheme going… surely Australian property is incongruous w/ bargains.
Give disposable numbers else might get flood of calls or emails:
"Tickets are non refundable. By purchasing a ticket to the Property Buyer Expo, you are agreeing to receive additional promotional material and communications including text messages and emails from Property Buyer Expo, associated partners and exhibitors."
Also negging due to it being a free event.
Also lol "Car investment" is the funniest joke I've ever heard. Unless you're dealing in classic cars and their maintenance.
May be our famous Westpac financial adviser having $80k car went to this event or conducting this event
You must be new here.
Nope.
He means to have not heard the joke..
I've definitely heard it this week on ozb
@justtoreply: I've heard it before. That's why I said lol
.
Doesn't make it any less dumb.
This is broadcasting a message "Sydney housing market is bad bad bad…"
Actually is it really bad now? Haven't checked the market for quite a while.
A credible source from Australia’s largest lender says that the middle of winter is a terrible time to sell a property, but best time to grab a bargain.
depends on the market overall, but in general: less stock on the market = higher prices for sellers
It's in the negatives for growth
Let me try that again.
Include well-known Fengshui Masters Seminars on both days haha!
Different conference. I made that mistake too.
You've posted a link to the Aus Property Expo that's in November
Deal is for the Property Buyer Expo in September.
Somehow this is all your fault.
I'd take all the credit but it might be bad Fengshui
@ChickenTalon: You two chickens squawking again? :)
Just got some tickets for the Melbourne expo. Thanks OP!
Last year there are people outside the exhibition and offer baby milk powder if I can go in to their stall.
Only an idiot would pay. Heck, it might take an idiot to go for free
really, so educating yourself about all the options out there is being an idiot?
The expos charge exorbitant fees for the merchants that rent the trade booth packages, they need to guarantee traffic to ensure the merchants keep coming back etc… even if it means giving the tickets away
Thanks and registered.
