Recommendations for Whey Protein

Hi ozbargainers,

I have been buying whey from myprotein for the past two years and seems they no longer do the 30% discount they used to ( I have been waiting for awhile and confirmed with one of their sales rep, he said "they won't have any deals like that in the foreseeable future"

My other option is to buy from bulk nutrients but I am not sure what flavours to get from them. Any recommendations with the flavours?

Any other alternatives?

    Banana?

    • I will try that!

        Be careful with the peel!!

    • Try f1 nutrition everyday whey 2.8 kg direct via their site. Low sugar , natural sweetener, nz dairy. Discount for bulk orders. Also they have crazy eofy sales but must wait 11 months for this haha

  • Not a fan of the banana or the strawberry, chocolate and cookies and cream is alright IMO from bulknutrients but YMMV. My cousin likes vanilla however I don't like it.

    • I used to buy Banana from myprotein. I added it to my banana smoothie so couldn't taste it. since they deliver in 1kg packages I might just go 5 different flavours. I am personally a fan of vanilla in general so I might like it.

    • Godamnit! I am seriously running out of my existing bag very soon. Might just pull the trigger on bulk nutrients this time!

      • There is a 20% off the whole order when you purchase clothing code going currently, still with the free items for levels of spend. You may be able to stack it with other codes like I did but you will have to test yourself. I got my order placed already this week so no point me trying again.

        • will try doing that tonight and see what turns out to be cheaper. Thanks :)

        • @rmsprs:
          Do yuo know de whey?

  • Chocolate, Vanilla, Choc Honeycomb, Salted caramel , cookies and cream and banana.

    • thank you for the suggestions! I didn't want to get stuck with something I would hate. Good thing with these guys is they send you 1kg packages so I can get one each

    • they're a little more expensive compared to bulknutrients but thanks for the suggestion will look into it :)

      • I don't know what prices you are looking at.

WPI 100% on BN is $36.00 + Postage

Ebay site is $27.46 incl postage?

  • I can vouch for Bulk Nutrients. Top quality in terms of mixability, flavour and perceived purity. I'm a fan of choc, vanilla, strawberry and salted caramel. I'm not a fan of choc mint or cookies and cream. Choc honeycomb is ok.

You can order free samples too. The website limits you to one but I found that they will send you more if you request via FB messenger.

    • thank you! I will message them on facebook to see if I can try all the flavours!

  • Coffee!
Or if you're willing to spend a bit more, Bulk nutrients have a line of protein called "Future Whey" - Cola flavour actually tastes like cola!

    • I would love to try but just looked it up, it's almost twice as expensive. :/

  • I was using Professional Whey Protein Concentrate from these people for medical reasons. My reason being you know where it is coming from, with a choice in - for example NZ Vs Australian cows. It was recommended highly by 2 health professionals.

However you all sound as though you don’t mind Putting poor quality products into your body - ie flavoured!

I Like to know what is in packet is top quality.

These products are versatile and you create your own flavours easily - if you are into flavours.
