YOU15

Cult Beauty is offering free worldwide shipping for The Ordinary products instead of the usual minimum order threshold of £40. If you haven't used YOU15 with your account before, you can get an additional 15% off.

They still deduct 20% VAT but have added 10% GST for Australia.

I use them to buy TO products that aren't available for Australian market. Please use with caution as there is probably a reason why they are graded as 'medicine' in Australia and not sold over the counter. Those that are currently in stock are:

They have just started stocking the newer The Ordinary products such as:

Would be worth getting if you can use the 15% off code.

  • Beautylish may be better for this if you are making a 50USD order. They also have some other stuff, like RCMA and ABH for US prices.

For the Buffet + Copper, Deciem AU is better.

At full price yes, but it's cheaper at Cult if you can use YOU15.

Oh, right, didn't think of that.

        I'm considering it now.

    • FYI - Beautylish reduced the minimum for free shipping to $35USD on 1 July - and will add on GST.

      • I knew both of those things but forgot.

Thanks OP! Stocked up on The Ordinary ❤️❤️❤️

      • The Ordinary foundation, prime and some skincare 🤗

          Oooh nice :)

  • They do deduct 18% of VAT moocher, but they also add 10% GST - all around they deduct around 8% I believe

    • Oh yes you are right! I thought the discounted price was only due to the 15% but I was wrong. Will fix, thanks.

Thanks OP. Been waiting for a deal for The Ordinary.

  • I signed up jumped through the hoops, then they wouldn't allow me to use YOU15 :(

    • Same. I don't know what the exact code exception is, but something in the shopping bag won't let the discount go through. I picked the Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and the Serum Foundation. I filled out my beauty preferences, yadda yadda yadda, so I don't know.

      • Has anyone had any luck using YOU15??? If not, the post should be revised… code doesn't work!

In order to use YOU15, you have to update your beauty preference under your account.

        • I used YOU15 no dramas….

  • I use them to buy TO products that aren't available for Australian market. Please use with caution as there is probably a reason why they are graded as 'prescription only' in Australia and not sold over the counter.

It's illegal to import prescription medicines without a valid prescription from an Australian doctor.

people might want to run the ingredients through the Controlled Substance list on the TGA site, so they don't have their parcel confiscated or worse an early morning visit from Minister Dutton's storm troopers

Thanks for the useful links. Searching for the active ingredients in the products mentioned above don't return results.

I think the products aren't prohibited as such, it's just that the company hasn't gone through the TGA approval process (apologies for inaccurate description above). For example, azelaic acid is available in higher percentage (20%) in Azclear here in Australia (TO product only has 10%)

ah if they're not approved, rather then banned & they're allowed in the EU, then you're probably ok.
The TGA here (and in some other countries (looking at you Canada) often require companies to pay for local clinical trials, rather then rely on similar OS studies. Also they set limits on ingredients and above certain levels can only be supplies to licensed practioners (due to possible misuse/accidental harm).

In short it's your body, not the Govt's. IMHO if the EU hasn't banned it, then it's probably ok (the US OTOH, is a shocker at allowing questionable products like Formaldehyde & Hydroquinone in beauty products).

    • Both azelaic acid and alpha arbutin products from the ordinary are fine, it's just the complex regulation we have over here :(

I really want to try their sunscreen as well, but it isnt available in aus :(
