What are your suggestions for vacuum on laminate floor? It's a 3 bedroom unit.
I would like to have both Xiaomi Robot or Dyson Handstick, but the budget now just let me have one.
If Dyson, which model? V6?
If Xiaomi, 2nd generation?

I don’t think he can afford an F1 car
I have a 1st gen Xiaomi and a cheap Dyson hand vac for spot cleans and the combination works great. Total cost under $500 for both with specials on here.
+1 although I'd just go a cheapo bagged vacuum for the secondary.
We are in a similar position with a Dyson V6 (4 years old) and a Xiaomi 2nd gen.
Chose the 2nd gen due to the carpet sensing (our bedrooms have carpet) and mopping feature (which is pretty much useless).
If I had my time again, (which I have, I've bought one for my Mum), I'd get the v1 and just run it on maximum/high suction all the time. Doubly so for a home with one floor type.The Xiaomi does a remarkable job and the Dyson is really only now used for "dustbuster" situations.
When it dies, I can't see us replacing it.
We'll probably end up using my shopvac from the shed for those situations that need a nozzle.
I use my Dyson v6 to do our floors, just make sure you have the right attachment for the floors or you might scratch them. Don't forget to put it straight back on charge after use, you only get about 20 minutes of vacuum time (pretty sure mine is always on max power, so would probably last a bit longer on regular power). I love mine Dyson, it's very handy if you have any little spills you need to clean up and also good for the car.
This is exactly the type of comment my wife made when we got our Dyson handstick….
Since getting the Xiaomi though, it's the one getting all the praise and fairly so too, as she no longer has to push the Dyson around (yes, she did and does still perform the majority of housework in our home).
