      Huaraches came out in 91 and are based off the mexica sandal of the same name. Although these are Ultra versions so they are slightly updated from the 91 version:

    I know everyone thinking it is ugly, which I don't disagree, however I have touched these shoes before, they are soft and comfortable, worth the $60, more durable than a lot of other lifestyle or runnings at this price.
    Go buy a pair for yourself or your family members, you won't regret seriously.
