    • Thanks mate, I will add that in.. cheers!

It would be good if flight spending is eligible for Luxury Escapes' offer.

    • Just did a quick search. Haven't been able to confirm this, but what I have found is that there are two bloody insane fees:

      • Airline Credit Card fee: $17
      • Processing fee: $29.95

      wtf…

edit: Wait. It looks like they factor it into the price that's shown on the search results, and it was on Jetstar only. Tried with a different airline (Scoot) and there wasn't the same fee. Regardless, it's factored into the price displayed in search results so not too bad.

    • So flight is not included in Luxury Escapes offer?

    • Excludes payments for flights that do not form part of a tour or package inclusion.

  • Didn't get the Tigerair one on my Velocity Escape lolllllll

    • +3

Well, Virgin do own Tiger :)

    • Neither did I. Only got it on my non-Velocity cards.

    • +2

I registered my Velocity Escape with the manual link?

    • +2

I had to use the manual website sign up method. Its now loaded onto my Velocity Escape.

    • I had to use the manual link for my velocity platinum card lol. Still got my $25 though

  • where's forumninja?

    Cmon H&R Block. Still waiting…

    • +4

      myGov is waiting too.
      It's free.

That reference actually went over my head and I’m usually pretty good with references like that. Can someone please explain.

        • +2

Haha. Meaning you can do your own taxes on the mygov website :)

        • @lainey13: Ahhhhh, gotch ya (and thanks). I don't mind doing it myself but my depreciation schedules, rental properties, shares and all that are quite complex and I find I save more going with them as opposed to not, especially with bloody DIV293 issues.

  • Is it possible to split payment with Tiger Air

    • +2

      Computer says no.

      • Can I use 2 amex's on luxuryescapes?

        • I don't know but it may be possible to buy a gc with one Amex, have it loaded onto your LE account and then when you buy a holiday use another Amex to pay the balance.

        • @SydneySwan:
Gift cards purchases for Luxury escapes seem to be redirected to Prezzee site so don't think you'd be able to get statement credit

        • @cheapfab:

Really? I rememebrr a while Ago people On here were saying luxry escape. Gift cards were working for cash back…
          But its been a while

        • +3

@hellohello123: I did this previously on this deal and it worked. But the gift cards were purchased through Luxury Escapes then, which doesn't seem to be the case now.

        • @llanfachreth:

Bummer, thats very handy to know!

        • @cheapfab: I agree but they definitely used to sell the gcs directly. I wonder when they changed.

        • +1

@SydneySwan: It was definitely around the last Amex deal (around Feb this year) as I looked into doing it then and from memory you could only buy from Harvey Norman I think.
Shame as this saved me around $300 off a $2,000 package last year.

    • One way flights?

  • Is it possible to book Tiger through Expedia and still get the $25 back? Tiger doesn't do cashrewards, but Expedia does.

    • +2

      NO
"Payments must be made online at tigerair.com.au or in-app using the Tigerair Australia mobile app to be eligible for the offer. Payments made at airport locations or via travel agents or online aggregators are ineligible."

  • If only they fly into Avalon!

  • Thanks, Tiger deal came in handy. Will be my first time flying Tiger, i'm pretty nervous. Fingers crossed no cancellations.

    • I've flown them quite a few times, no different to any other airline in my experience really, I've been delayed on Qantas Virgin and jetstar

      • can't agree more… they're not bad, delays happen if you're unlucky, which happend to me once with JS causing me to be out-of-pocket a bit!

  • +2

Thanks OP! Checked OzB right before booking tigetr flights and wasn't dissapointed :)

  • I still have the offer for TigerAir but has no plan to travel now so if anyone need it maybe we can split the credit.

  • Tiger air app is not accepting Amex - so how will this work ?

    • Their desktop website accepts Amex.
