40% off All Breville Appliances @ Qantas Store Using Qantas Frequent Flyer Points

180

If anyone has accumulated a lot of QFFP (Qantas Frequent Flyer Points) and don't really use it for flights/upgrades, Qantas is currently offering 40% off all Breville products.

When you compared the value of swapping your points for Woolworths WISH Egift cards, it works out to be quite reasonably priced.

19,000 QFFP for $100 Woolworths WISH egift card.*

BES870 - QFFP 90,590 = $476.79*
BEP920BSS - QFFP 171,320 = $901.69* (comes with grinder + up to $204 worth of Pablo & Rusty beans)
BES980 - QFFP 245,380 = $1291.47* (comes with up to $204 worth of Pablo & Rusty beans)
BES990BSS - QFFP 313,950 = $1652.37* (comes with up to $204 worth of Pablo & Rusty beans)

Can't find the T&C's for the Pablo & Rusty beans.

  • buy Myer digital card and the numbers will change.

    • What do you mean?

      • A $100 MYER digital gift card only 16160 points not 19000 like the woolworths wish egift card

        • +1

I compared it against Woolworths wish e-gift card only because it is more useful.

        • But only if you're buying stuffs from Myer

        • +2

You have to account for the markup of their prices. It's not straightforward to get $100 value from a $100 Myer gift card.

As for Woolworths, a $100 gift card is worth $95 with Cashrewards 5% off. And they're worth more with Auto Rewards.

@SocietyBox: not all Myers stuff is overpriced, particularly if you can stack a discount with a 20% off eBay sale. You just need to know when to buy. Also Woolworths and Myers often have different stock.

@try2bhelpful: cant use gc on ebay.

@Seedy seed: true but you are mentioning Myers "markup" - it isn't that straight forward.

Check out this article before purchasing products with FF points :

    • The best value point for dollar ratio is a RTW Explorer - if you accumulate enough points to get it

  • You can generally get good value choosing to just use 2000 points and pay the rest with cash.

Can OP explain how they got the conversion to $ for each of the coffee machines listed? Using the minimum redemption FF amount on say the BES990 and paying the rest in real $ the amount is $2400.

  • Can easily sell for 1c per point minimum, why not do that comparison instead of woolies cards?

    Not quite reasonably priced then…

    • Not easily and not without risk to your account being banned
