I know i'm going to receive a lot of flac (troll posts) from this but I really feel I should comment anyway.
The number of times lately that I have opened the Ozbargain site to be confronted with sea of blue (sometime in the future) or red (expired) listings is just getting tiring. I am frequenting the site less and less often as a result I have to say.
I know how the system works by user upvotes etc but I feel especially the blue "Bargains" ought to be done away with or relegated to a subcategory or only be displayed when it's not far off the actual start of the bargain.
Ozbargain used to be about getting high-priced stuff cheap NOW. Or about uncommon but dear items cheap NOW.
I know all the arguments against what I am saying and probably agree (such as it's good to be prepared) and therefore I will most likely not respond much to them all but I have to say it is disappointing to open the OzBargain site and be confronted with a whole lot of non-bargains due to red and blue tags that are therefore not really current bargains.
Like who care really if woolies chips are going to be half-price in 3 days time? Who will remember? Does it get your heart racing and CC card ready? Not me.

Can you make it so you can see all latest deals on mobile front page regardless of how many upvotes they have?
Yes, adjust the minimum votes but if you want to see all deals then may as well just use the new deals page
I think it would be a good idea to be able to adjust the Minimum Votes setting to apply to deals from each category independently. That way if you're very interested in a certain category of deals you can see them with a lower threshold (eg 10 votes) and if you're not interested in another category but still want to see its phenomenal deals you can see them with a higher threshold (eg 100 votes).
This would allow users to tailor the deals presented to them on the front pages rather than just choosing to hide entire categories as we have now.
Just stay logged in across all devices 24/7/365
I don't know for sure but I'm sure guest users is always > logged in users. Or close.
Also I have an aversion to staying logged in to anything permanently. Big brother is watching you.
I have to say that the average Ozbargainer is less confrontational/ derogatory than a lot of forums and I love that about Ozbargain actually. But I'm a high level techie and I know how all data is being gathered, concatenated and profiled hence why I say I don't stay logged in.Multiple accounts are not permitted. You can however change your username and email address in your existing account.

I agree that expired deals should be deleted from front page pronto and deals for the future not front paged until the day of sale. In before Neil closes this thread and calls it a shitshow.
I like to see the expired deals I missed out on, in a way it's like I just earned myself some money by not being able to pull the trigger on another good deal.
I always use the live action to see where its all happening, never use the main page.

I am with you OP, Ozbargain has definitely changed compared to the bargains it used to list. Now i see some bargains with a lot of junk in between and you have to peruse for pages to find the bargains. Too many every day prices being reported as bargains.

That also, infact logically, tends to make us believe the deal being out of stock (sometimes expired) because of demand from more users (including guest ones) for a limited number of quantity from sellers. e.g. Gearbest publishing 500 units of Xioami Mi and now vs. (say) same 5 years ago. Therefore the deal would likely be expired/OOS soon. And be sitting on front page.

I think having a couple of days notice is fine. It allows you to do some research into what you might want to buy. This is especially handy for price jackers like E-Bay etc.

Honestly I was just thinking about this exact same thing the other day OP. All these filtering options are nice, but after all it is the front page and all these future deals are just getting out of the hand.
You can use a filter to hide deals from Stores you do not wish to see on your home page
