Has anyone here purchased the Samsung UA49NU7100?
If so, how would you rate it? It seems to be a new 2018 model and I am struggling to find any reviews online. It has a score of 80% on Choice.
I'm in the market for a new TV and currently have that one on the top of my shortlist.
For those that are interested in suggesting alternatives, my requirements are:
- Between 40-50". I am not keen at getting anything larger as the watching distance is approximately only 2 metres.
- Budget capped at $1,000
- TV will mainly be used to watch EPL, Netflix and Youtube.
- Will not be used for gaming
The Hisense 50N7 is on the list too but it's just slightly over my budget. However, I have read somewhere on here that it seems the 50" version uses a Chinese panel whereas the 55" and above model uses the better Samsung panel. Also, it seems now that there are fewer places that stock it since there is a new model coming in.
Would recommend 49" 4K Sony X7000E refurb @ $898.20 (using Platypus code) from Sony eBay store:

This is last years model but pretty much same as this years. Basically the best TV you can buy at that size (has $1699 RRP). Comes from official Sony store with full warranty.
