USA Foods - 20% off Store Wide and $10 Flat Rate Shipping (up to 22kg)

1011
4THOFJULY18

They only seem to do this deal a few times a year. Get in quick as items seem to be going out of stock and disappearing from their website when they do! (Every time I tried to place my order things would disappear from my cart!)

    Any bargains?

    • +11

      Any stock?

      • +13

We received in 3 containers before the sale, and are focusing solely on having items in stock. It's difficult, we're a small business, we don't have strong manufacturer relationships as we import everything ourselves and have over 2000 items, but we do our best and we're committed to improving. :)

        • Can you get chicken in a biskit by Nabisco?

        • Are you able to do special order from your suppliers in the US?

I import 20 cartons of Rockstar Recovery a year in bulk, but it is a pain in the ass.

        • @kineticskink: Unfortunately not, especially products with high caffeine content, they require permits and documents from the manufacturer which as you've mentioned is very difficult to obtain. We have lots of challenges to solve with non-risk items first :(

        • I note Hersheys chocolate syrup but not the hot fudge. Any plans for this (or any equivalents)?

      • I am seeing heaps of stock in all the BBQ stuff I want to buy!

  • -3

Never heard of this company. What products are good?

    • -2

The ones that you can buy;)

The company has these deals posted once a year I think.

    • +6

bought from them many times, good reliable company :).. kids got into cinnamon toast crunch cereal while in Hawaii.. so i get it for them as a treat every now and then :)

      • Got curious. Are you referring to Cinnamon Toast Crunch Double Bag 49.5oz?

Looks like at treat indeed at that price. But Best By shows April 2019 though.

        • +1

that's the one… and its not cheap but small boxes cost about $10 in specialty retail stores around Sydney.. it basically 2 bags worth of the large nutri-grain boxes :) i think in the past they also carried the smaller boxes.

If i let my daughter have it when she wanted it'd be finished in no time though ..haha and she'd be needing insulin shots .. Aprils plenty of time although if u don't open this stuff i reckon they'll last a decade with the crap in them.. hahahaha

        • +1

          Around USD $5 in US

        • @ebayer007: yeah it’s really frustrating that there’s only 1 USA food importer (last I checked).

It’s so over priced compared to USA prices :(

        • +1

          @scud70:

The main cost you're paying for is space on a container. It's very expensive and those boxes are massive. That's a lot of real-estate taken up on the container. If it was a more expensive item such as a audio speaker then you'd feel that less, but with a cheap box of cereal it can even cost more to ship it than the item itself.

    • +3

The business imports and sells North American-market foods such as Hershey's and Reese's.

And I recommend the cough syrup-flavoured soft drink and bacon-flavoured chocolate bars. :)

    • +1

They do NOT sell customer service, but anyway…………

  • Being the 6th, I assume the code is symbolic if the country going backwards?

    • And being a bit behind the times.

    • +1

The sale started on the 4th and runs until the 8th :)

  • -5

20% off storewide is not necessarily a bargain.
Especially as some stores jack up prices before giving us 20% off.

    We love prices!

    • +11

Don’t assume this store does because some sellers on eBay do. Geez.

      • Could be already high in the first place I suppose.

I'd be interested in how pricing compares to Costco.

        • Costco don’t even publish their prices online, let alone deliver.

        • That’s a deal breaker ladies. For a lot of us.

    • +7

We don't do this, in fact, we even kept our 4+ qty and 12+ qty discount breakpoints for the sale which we planned to turn off during the sale. 20% off for an imported food business is quite a significant sale for us considering the costs to get the product here. :)

  • I keep getting code unrecognized or invalid

    • +1

We just checked everything and it's currently working correctly. If you're still having issues, you can place your order and we can apply your discount manually if you use the contact us page with your order number.

  • Ugh no Reese's Pieces 1kg+ bags.

    • What a travesty…

    • +1

I remember reject shop has Reece’s, half the price of USA foods.

      • Possibly old USA foods stock, I remember Hersheys chocolates from cheap as chips having USA foods labels on them…..

        • +3

Nup, they’re not, I’ve bought and ate them. No USA food labels, they just import directly themselves I reckon.

        • @cloudy: fair enough, even Aldi sells Reece's on occasion so an importer must be available….

        • @Forfiet:

Yea, saw the same bag if reeces at Aldi last week for double the price. Not often can you say I found the same Aldi product at half the price

    • Unfortunately, we've been having difficulty sourcing these large bags. :(. Hopefully we can find an alternative soon.

      • Get them from costco, they have mountains of them.

  • +2

Last page of 'Candy' had my jolly ranchers!!! Spent $41 lol… Why do I do this to myself. THANKS OP!

  • A lot of stuff i want is almost out of date

    • We discount out of date items or eat them ourselves. If you see any items past their best by dates that are still at full price, let us know!

  • -6

Do they serve you so you can pay, or do you wait at the counter like a stale-bottle-of-piss?

  • I have been looking for super mario cereal for ages! Finally got some - thanks OP

  • +4

Some great prices on liquid smoke and hot sauces (two things the 'mericans do really well). e.g.

    Wright's Liquid Smoke - 1 Gallon ($22.80 before 20% off): http://usafoods.cdn.netsuitestaging.com/Wrights-Liquid-Smoke…

& you can buy gift cards for 20% off - so "bank" the saving to order later if you like.

    • Where I can find their gift card???

    • love it thanks kindly you bloody legend

    • Anyone that BBQ's or marinades owes it to themselves to get liquid smoke. It's gold dust.

    • Are gift cards sent out via email or snail mail?

      • +1

Via email, usually within a business day (we have to process them)

LMAO: Best by date (Best By: 31 Jul 2018)

    • +2

It takes a month on the water to get here, and Cheetos and other snack foods have a short best by date. Not much we can do, air-freight would be far too expensive, unfortunately.

    • +5

As if it would go off anyways. The packaging has more of a chance of going off then the contents.

  • +1

Woohoo! Stocked up on A&W diet root beer, $1.09 a can! Delicious!

    • Too bad there is a weight limit. I usually buy a few hundred cans at a time.

      • +4

If we had no weight limit we'd be out of business thanks to a massive postage bill, some packages to certain parts of the country can cost hundreds of dollars to ship, and we wanted to make it accessible to everyone no matter where they live in Australia :)

        • +3

I Work for a large retail company (IT Area) and USAFoods is 100% correct we have shipped items to our stores that are a bit more remote and it has cost us over $400 in the past for a medium sized box :) .. once for an overnight freight we were quoted over $1000 …

        • Too bad I live on the other side of the country.

        • Even with a courier like Toll?

        • I'm still waiting weeks for a Toll package that went "missing" in their local warehouse after arriving in a few days from Hong Kong. Both the retailer and customer lose and Toll staff keep the loot! ;-(

      • I did two orders to get my cans, worth it for the bulk price and special shipping!

  • I wish they sold starburst jelly beans. I wish SOMEONE sold starburst jelly beans!

    • +1

I wish they'd bring back Starburst Squirtz. They were better than the jelly beans!

      • If we can find them we'll get them. (I loved starburst squirtz) Depends what we can find.

  • The US has slapped tariffs on so many countries they have a trade deficit with, including long standing close allies like Canada, yet when I came to Australia, you guys are fine, we have a trade surplus with you. No Trump, that's not how it works. I try my best not to buy American these days.

    • The US has 'slapped tarrifs on', because many countries already had them 'slapped on' the USA for quite some time. The dishonest leftist-infected media loves fabricating half-truths. Turn off the TV. Most of the mass media has Trump derangement syndrome. So your brain cells will die much slower. ;-D

      • +1

LOL - seems you've been buying a lot of Kool Aid from USA Foods.

  • Great deal for this: Victoria Cast Iron 12.5 inch Reversible Griddle w/wirehandle at $23.92,

Showing up at $27.18 in cart before discount code.

    • Is that like a pancake pan you reckon?

      • It's a cast iron griddle, ideally used for mexican/south american cooking.

  • Is it 20% in store too? I want to stock up on some crazy hot hot sauce

    • +1

Yes, I got an email from them….

    • Can confirm they're giving 20% off everything in store, too.

  • Was hoping to find Lay's chips but not part of their inventory, anyone know where to buy Lay's chips? :)

    • They do have some lays chips

    • I saw Lay's chips selling at Aldi last weekend but decided not to buy a packet.

    • Costco has lays.

  • +2

Wowee, i just put an order through, used the 20% and it came to ~$69, paid with PayPal and on the PayPal screen i got a note saying "thanks for paying with PayPal, here's another $20 off"?? bloody swell.

    • +1

      Whaaaaaaaa

    • +1

      Any further deatials?
Was there an indication of getting the paypal discount?

      • Must be a PayPal related promotion, separate to us.

      • Nah just a "suprise Here's $20"
It was marked as "special offer" but only appeared on the paypal payment page. Random i think

        • Did you sign up to the Gumtree $20 paypal deal?

  • +3

And can click and collect from Moorabbin free….:)

  • No Cheez-IT?

  • Hmmmmm the amiibo isn’t included in the super mario cereal…

    http://www.usafoods.com.au/Super-Mario-Cereal-8.4oz

    • Yeah, we were disappointed when our restock came in a few months ago too :(

Cereal still tastes great tho! :)

  • +1

    $70 later… thanks OP!

  • I didn't know you could get cereal by the 1.5kg

  • I'm getting $11 flat rate shipping (Sydney Metro)

Edit: Nvm, they've excluded $1 tax. You should probably edit your post to reflect $1 tax which makes it $11 shipping cost.

    • Our apologies, I forgot tax is excluded in our shipping option. We shall fix this, if you have a current order please post it here and we'll adjust it on Monday when we're back in the office.

      • Order # 276-138716

Could you also apply the discount as it look like it didn't flow through to the check out page.
        Thanks so much!
