Hah they had this a while ago and I bought a suit but ended up returning it. The $20 gift card still worked. I wont bother with it though becuase it doesnt include supermarkets, department stores etc. I dont really spend $150 in one go like that in expensive clothing stores unless they have good markdowns.

well that rules out everything i would ever buy from a westfield shopping centre …

That is ridiculous…. I generally goto Westfields if I need something from a "major retailer, department store".

  • I think this is valid at other Westfield stores too, probably all Westfield stores. A few I tried are Parramatta, Hornsby, Belconnen, etc. and it shows this offer.

  • Does anyone know the participating retailers this bonus gift applies to?
    DSE?

    • "Excludes major retailers, department store, supermarket, liquor, lotto, prescription medicine, recharge card, cigarette purchases and car park, bill and layby payments"

Based on that I would presume DSE is excluded.

        that is correct

check the westfield site for your local centre, it will list which stores are excluded, eg Garden City (Qld) lists the following:
          Non participating retailers include:
          David Jones
          Kmart/Kmart Tyre & Auto
          Coles
          Woolworths
          Toys R Us
          Harvey Norman
          Liquorland
          Officeworks
          Westfield Gift Cards
          Big W

based on that, you can accrue part (or all) of your $150 spend to qualify for the gift card at DSE, but DSE don't accept the giftcard so you can't spend it there once you qualify for one.

        • so is the Tandy store which is now renamed DSE at Garden city included? so can we buy a $150 wish card to use later at woolies group companies and still qualify for this $20 westfield gift card? if so its a good deal.

I just bought the $99 Vodafone Broadband recharge special at DSE, and it WAS part of the deal. DSE included, voucher redeemed :o)

  • yep its only boutique fashion stores really..

waste of time unless you really need something that costs over $150..

i get $20 gift cards all the time in the mail from completing surveys, writing short reviews on WOMOW etc.

  • huh! at my westfields its only $120. Pretty easy to clock up that much if your looking for a few items of clothing

  • I was thinking of buying a soccer jersey from rebel. I assume rebel is a major retailer? :-(

  • *Excludes major retailers, department stores, supermarkets, liquor, lotto, prescription medicine, mobile recharge cards, cigarette purchases and car park, bill and layby payments.

  • I got told by someone who works in Westfield admin that it excludes what kimmi said (the usual suspects of department stores, supermarkets etc), but pretty much everything else was okay.

I wouldn't have thought that Dick Smith would have qualified as a major retailer to Westfield?

  • BTW SA- Tea Tree Plaza and Westlakes is doing the same thing, except you only need to spend $120 rather than $150. http://westfield.com.au/teatreeplaza/news-and-events/bonus-2…
    For Marion its $150 though.
