    Thanks to google, to ensure buyers understand the term "Genuine Leather"

    "Genuine leather" is the lowest quality of all products made out of real leather. Genuine leather generally doesn't last as long or look as nice as higher-quality leather.

    The fact is, the label "Genuine Leather" is purposely ambiguous, and meant to mislead the consumer. "Genuine Leather," on a tag on a piece of luggage, means "not-the-best leather." It may mean "split leather."

      Just curious though;
      "Genuine Leather" guarantees it's at least not BONDED leather though; right?
      That's about all I care about.

      Bonded Leather lasts at most 3 years for me.
      Genuine leather products I've had for 10+.

      While it may be 'low quality' 10 years is an acceptable time for me.

    Good price but 'Genuine Leather' and 'leather is picked from the top selection of hides' aren't compatible in the same description. No idea why so many companies try to confound consumers with this

    A hide as it comes of cattle is very thick, they can split the hide to make it thinner and more pliabe, you can get top grain, full grain (hasn't been split) ,etc.

    None of these term reflect on a standardised grade of leather, there is no grading system eg 1st grade, A+, etc,etc.

    About as good as it gets is that it is made from cattle.

    Bigger issue is with things like belts wher leather is often made from ground animal hides recombined with rubber, banded leather, but still able to be called leather … ,

    At least it's myer and if it's not up to scratch you can take it back and get a refund …no need to send back to Xiaomi, or Banggood, or Gearbest, or Joybuy, or Aliexpress, etc.

      Very true it is so confusing , I spent ages trying to get a real leather messenger bag and finally got one from Sirocco leather.
      It was marked as rugged hide and when I got it was pleasantly surprised to find that is a full hide.
      Very happy , great bag and 1/3 price of Myers.
