I would never recommend the cheapest option. Buy the best tires you can afford, they're the most important safety feature on your car. The bonus is they're also the cheapest and most legal performance modification.

My experience, tyre prices are not fixed, they have a varying margin/price.
I called up knowing what I want (know the size of tyre you want), example I was quoted $195 a tyre.
I turned up and asked again the price without mentioning the quote and was quoted $215. That was $60 total difference (buy 4 get one free deal).
I must of looked like a chump or something, must of been the bananas I was carrying.
Thinking they misheard the tyre size or something when I called I did not say anything, but I mentioned it when I was paying and they gave me the phone price without any hesitation.
When you call don't be afraid ask for discount (hint: get your husband or brother to call), they will discount per tyre at least $5, multiply that by 4 or 3 (you will more than your $10 back)
I rang up Beaurepaires to get a price for some SUV tyres and they asked me what price I expected to pay! I said that I thought about $140 per tyre was a fair price as that was the cheapest price I had found online and they came back and by incredible coincidence said that $140 was their price too. I still wonder what price I would have been offered if I'd said $120…

Personal +ve vote for Serenity Plus and -ve for Supercat - based on experience on otherwise identical cars. I'm really impressed with the former across all conditions.
Note - Bridgestone outlets will sometimes offer different prices for the same tyre and will compete against each other. At least two local to me did.
Serenity plus much better in all condition. Experienced them on my two cars. Much better handling and road grip. Good with mileage too. I changed one of my cars last month with ecopias. Still better but couldn’t compare with serenity plus in driving comfort and handling. Bridgestone west lakes offer competitive price I think by experience in SA.
