I'm missing the icecream flavour of my childhood. I went looking in Coles & Woolies but no vanilla chocolate chip. Only mint or chocolate choc chip.
I've noticed that Cadbury discontinued theirs, and Bulla's is now chocolate choc chip.

I have, but it's not quite the same? I've also tried looking for chocolate sprinkles but I can't find decent quality sprinkles either :(.
That’s cooking chocolate, it tastes quite different.
I used to make Stracciatella ice cream in an Italian cafe. Melt chocolate in a bain marie (or, in a microwave for you less patient folks)
Once the chocolate is in liquid form, pour over the gelato and mix it, chocolate will solidify as you do and form chunks in the ice cream.
Nooo, this is terrible! Yes I noticed the dairy milk chip has been missing for a while now. So sad!

When i was growing up in NZ you could get orange choc chip ice cream… so yummy…
have you tried grating a block of chocolate over vanilla?
