    There's now also a AMD Ryzen Mobile version that starts at $899 / $999, both of which run a mid-end R5 2500U with a Vega GPU built in.. AMD Ryzen 7 2700U 'coming soon'.

      Equivalent Ryzen E485 model (e.g. with 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD) is $1,324.01 (but with half the CPU cache and slower clock speed) vs $1299 for OP.

    I have T470 and I like the keyboard, look and battery life. Can anyone comment on how is this compared to T series.

      I have a T470S (the S is the slim model), an E570p and an E580. Very happy with all of them. Build quality on the E series isn't the same as T, but keyboard is on par, and to me still feels more robust than many other laptops in the same price bracket.

      And while Lenovo can be awful at times with shipping times (they often sell laptops that are yet to have been assembled and shipped from China, leading to lengthy delays), their support has been surprisingly good. I live in rural Vic and had to call out support for a minor issue (the plastic mask behind the keyboard had a tab sticking out above the case instead of below it), had someone out to the house the next day.

        My 580 was listed as being shipped in 6-9 days when i ordered but my actual invoice is listed as the 17th-July as expected to ship(Ordered 22-June).

        I just shot them an email as over a month for laptop delivered is quite average in my opinion.

      I ordered a v330 last Wednesday and received it Thursday arvo. However, I sent it back cause of some issues.

    Damn if only it had TB3. Looks like this is the model that Lenovo throttled the GPU in latest bios update due to fan and heat issues basically making the GPU useless. Or this a newer model?

      Same model. i7 & RX550 together in the same chassis = hot hardware.

      Perhaps consider the Ryzen version, though the R5 2500U is slightly slower compared to the i7 8550U.

    Lenovo had a deal on E480 i5-8250U/integrated graphics for $829 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/381320) a little over a month ago. I think if Lenovo offers that model for sub-$800 in a week or so; that would be a better deal.

      Just realised Lenovo had a deal on E480 i5-8250U/integrated graphics for $799 early June (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/381942). I'd be happy with that if that deal comes back again and maybe $30 or so cheaper (but black please, not silver :p ).
