Hi,
Which credit card gives longest "lengt of trip" coverage? I have found the CBA Diamond Awards credit card covers up to 1 year, but annual fee of $349.00 is a bit steep. Any other suggestions?

…Platinum is 6mo, Gold is 3mo, etc.
Maybe try a no fee for the first year card like ANZ black?
$349 sounds alright to me if they’ll cover you for 1 consecutive year of travel.
BankWest Platinum MasterCard will be 6 months and no annual fee
BankWest World MasterCard is 12 months and 270 annual fee
Both come with no fees for foreign transactions so will be helpful for people travelling as well, along with the included travel insurance
Read the PDS though to make sure you know what you're covered for.
I've been using the CBA diamond for the past 1.5 years in Europe. Got it on promotion with the first year free but paid $349 after that. It's great because it covers you for skiing which I'm not sure all do, and it also doesn't charge for foreign transactions so I use it as my main card and accrue QFF points with it too.
I've never had to make a claim (touch wood) so can't speak for how easy that is.
The "no fees for foreign transactions" is only via the AMEX companion card, which will cease to work 1 Sept.
woops you're right sorry
CBA cards don't require any purchase to turn on the insurance, unlike other cards. You could always grab a free ccard, charge the trip, claim the insurance, and then claim the CBA once the time expires.
Just use a CBA card with lower fee. Alternatively wait for a points promotion with qantas pts etc
