    What's the difference between this and the KSM160? I have never been able to work it out.

    KSM170 has the glass bowl I know.

      As far as I know they are the same except the KSM160 comes with an extra 2.8L stainless steel bowl.

        However, if you bake in small quantities, the 2.8L bowl is very useful and is expensive to purchase separately.
