The Microsoft Surface Laptop

4GB RAM, 128GB SSD storage
Intel core i5 processor
Intel HD 620 Graphics
13.5” PixelSense display
14.5 hours battery life
1x USB 3.0, 1x mini displayport and 3.5mm headset jack

I understand 4Gb isn't for every use case but it's a pretty good price.

  • Honestly I'd pick https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/387640 though it is a bit extra.

It's a bit of a dead horse but 4gb just doesn't cut it for most.

      Fair comment, definitely worth considering!
Mind you, the Surface Laptop is smaller and lighter and some use cases are fine with 4Gb too, when replacing an iPad for instance (note taking, presenting, email/word editing, etc).
      Surface laptop vs Surface book

      • Doh, I didn't really read the link and assumed they were both for the Book :v

Kind of an apples and oranges comparison yeah.

No, 4GB is not fine for web browsing and office tasks. A few open tabs in Chrome and it'll slow down like no tomorrow. Don't buy 4GB, I had 4GB RAM back in 2007 and that was considered pretty standard.

        • I have a Mac and 4GB is way more than fine on it but I guess according to your comment that's more mac os optimization than the hardware.

        • Here is the test for the 4Gb model, seems more than acceptable.

  • which generation of i5 is not mentioned in the link

    • 7th gen
