Just clarifying that your price is for the extra warm quilt, it's $149 for warmer and $99 for cooler.
I don't remember when Dick Smith removed Electronics from his store name.
On that Myer eBay sale they had recently, there was (and still is) a queen size 85/15 down/feather ratio all seasons quilt that is really warm and proper 210x210 size for $180 (was $150 with the Myer code). Pull5 or whatever is on ATM could probably bring it down a bit.
That is a lot of duck down in a quilt and after testing it's quite warm.
I ordered two quilts from this deal but only received one. The worst is this quilt has a strong smell. I am following up to rerun it. Wish me luck!
5% down content is very, very low end, even lower than the 10% down content found in the very budget IKEA HÖNSBÄR quilt.
SÖTVEDEL has 60% duck down, 40% duck feathers and will feel a lot fluffier, softer and more consistent than either then HÖNSBÄR or Kogan.
The…. "downside" of IKEA quilts is that they use european sizes. So if you're buying quilt covers from say, Adairs or Spotlight or Sheridan, you might want to double check the sizing. The IKEA EU queen is 200 by 200cm while the Aussie Queen size is 210 by 210.
