Bowmore Small Batch is an excellent introduction to peated whisky and a good easy drinker for this price!

Reasonable.. Same price for two or three bottles.
$16.95 to ship this to metro Melbourne (aus post) or $17.44 for courier. So about $72 all up.
How’s this taste never tried it
It’s not overly complex or long-finishing, but it’s lighter in style with a bit of sweetness and some smoke/peat. Not bad for the price!
@thewhiskylist Cool website. What's your go to whisky at the budget end of the market?
definitely check this out if you haven't seen it before.

Are you part of the tribe? ;)
Definitely can recommend Monkey Shoulder as a good entry level blend. Single Malt, I'd say try look for a glenlivet 12, or highland park 12.
Cheers!
For under $50, Naked Grouse for something a bit more rich and sweet, monkey shoulder is excellent for the classic scotch flavour, and this Bowmore or the Peat Monster for something dirty/smoky
How budget do you wanna go? And what kind of taste profile do you like? I reckon for 70-80 bucks in a single malt Glendronach 12 is a nice dram, or if you're up for something a bit more mild, maybe Old Pulteney 12. If you like a bit of peat wait for a sale on Ardbeg 10.
GD 12 and Ardbeg 10 are tops! You had Ben Nevis 10?
Ah yes I always forget about Nevis! Lovely dram.. not a bad one for an introduction to whisky too.
It is good hey. It's on it's last batch as well too. When Asahi bought them, they started putting all of their stock in to the blends and neglected to save some for the 10. It's worth snagging while it's around!
@thewhiskylist:
Still waiting for my 3 to turn up
@linnaen: wow! When did you order?
$61 at BWS this week.
Mine arrived today. Damaged, top half of bottle intact, bottom shattered. Aus Post sticker around the outside "repaired by Aus Post". Box it came is was way larger than necessary, packaged poorly with some scrunched up newspapers. Whisky is all gone. Let's see how Diamond Liquor customer service is.
Wow!! What a fail. Let us know how it goes. We want to help these guys out when they have good products/prices, but have to ensure they provide good service. E-mail us at [email protected] if you don't mind.
What's the delivery cost like for that site?
