If you want a bit of a 'snack' but want to avoid the KJ's, just take the two meat patties out of the grand big mac… and the bun… and the lettuce… and the cheese… and the sauce (although you only save money by taking out the meat)

This means you can buy just a big mac itself with an imaginary grand big mac for roughly $3.60 (pricing for my local store) instead of $6.10 for a regular big mac

    • +3

LOL! Time i lost reading this and will never get back

      • LOL what? Not all of us can stomach that much food! Particularly junk!

        • -1

$3.60 for what exactly? It reads like nothing is left. Photo suggested.

        • +1

          @Lukian: $3.60 FOR A BIG MAC!

The Grand Big Mac would be imaginary, you would be purchasing a regular Big Mac by itself for $3.60

The one in the middle since you clearly don't know what a Big Mac is

        • +2

@Lukian: What they means is, you reduce your 'paid' grand big mac by taking out the ingredients. You get a full free big mac as the BOGOF. I don't know if this works, but that's what they're saying.

        • @rompastompa: Thanks for clarifying =)

    • it is also vegan friendly for you cow lovers out there :)

      • +1

Not really… you are still getting a full blown regular big mac with meat in it.

It's just you are paying a total of $3.60 for a non-existent grand big mac… but you still get your 'free' big mac for a total cost of $3.60

        • @kronic - Thanks for clarifying !

  • Dinner sorted.

Neg vote Maccas then, not stampella for posting something that works for most people.

      • -8

The neg vote is for maccas, you can't neg vote a store without someone posting a deal for it. This is nothing against the OP, use your brain, thanks.

        • +2

yeah but that neg doesn't reach Maccas, just the person posting. Use your brain, you're welcome.

        • -1

          @Snoutface:

Guess that means we should never neg a post that isn't associated. Use your brain, you're welcome.

        • -1

Or just don't be a knob and neg people because you've got issues with a company. stampella isn't associated with Maccas so your anger is misdirected towards somebody trying to tell people about an available deal.

        • @Snoutface:

Not my problem people are stupid and have the mentality that a neg is directed towards the OP rather than the deal/company itself.

        • -1

Wrong place to be venting your anger with Maccas then. Maybe write a strongly worded letter to Maccas. I'm sure they'll want to know your problems with them. By the way, my neg is directed at you.

        • @Snoutface:

So what you're saying is every person who negs for "major issue with retailer" should instead send a strongly worded letter? That's the stupidest thing I've heard hahahhaha

My neg is also directed at you.

        • -2

@nurries: guess you haven’t heard of sarcasm. Either way, nobody else is bitching like you are

        • @Snoutface:

Either way, at least I understand that a neg is directed at the deal and not the OP. What would you know though, 4 months with an average of 11.5 comments per month. 5 of which were on this thread alone. #clueless

Last time this deal was on I had it for lunch… and regretted it - way to much food. But yet I am tempted again :(

  • I bought three of those Big Mac sauce bottles a few weeks back and my Big Macs taste even more delicious when I add some extra sauce. It also goes well with just about anything fried like chips, fish fingers etc.

Any one tried the Coles Big Mac Gravy?

      • Gravy?

Hey AWESOME! I might go and buy one so I can do a head to head taste test.

One thing that sets the Big Mac one apart (well, apart from the fact they are $12 each) is all those little crushed up dills (or finely sliced pickles) that are in the sauce. When I had a look at the Coles one I could not see any and so I never thought that it would be similar to the Maccas one.

Now I might have a backup alternative once my three bottle supply runs out. :-)

FYI, we are talking about the Coles Special Burger Sauce. I might also try the Woolworth equivalent one as well one day.

        • Hey AWESOME! I might go and buy one so I can do a head to head taste test.

          Report back if you do

        • +1

@Cheap Charlie: The Coles special burger sauce is pretty close to the big mac sauce but tastes like they missed something. (Which could just be the chopped up onion bits you get in a Big Mac). Well worth buying still especially since the sauce from McDonalds themselves is so expensive.

If I have to buy a one grand Big Mac how is that a bargain? Do you know how many Big Macs you can normally get for $1k?

    :P~~~

  • +1

Good grief, I don't think I've eaten this many bigmacs over the span of my life, while McD's is doing this 50yr promotion

    • Missed out on the free big mac month?

  • I'm not too sure about this. They should make the Big Mac smaller, they are just way too big now. Hard to eat both before lunch is over. Ah well.

    • +1

serial? the big mac is tiny…

  • Why doesn't McD like Ozbargain taking screenshots?

    • they want you to see the real thing - which never fades.

    • Copyright disclaimer blah blah blah
If you are interested in the full story, this has been asked and answered many times before..

  • OP, any deals on a new stomach, kidneys and liver? I think I'll need new ones after smashing down a GBM and a BM.

Do what someone said last time. Take out meat and add one chicken patty to grand big Mac. You should get two chicken patties.

    • Yep, apparently most mcdonald's staff struggle very much when it comes to changing patties around. They probably would give you two

      • Something to do with screen. Maybe says change patty to chicken. But doesn't specify how many. Lol

        • Doesn't always work. Myself and colleague only got single chicken patties when trying this. YMMV

  • How intrusive is the McD's app?

    • +1

It'll give you nightmares and headaches

  • More like "buy an over priced Big Mac and get a Baby Mac free!"

  • They must really be keen to get us hooked on Grand Macs.

    • KFC is getting a work out with these lame Maccas deals.

The Grand Big mac is a sloppy mess, even the McOz is missing the mark.
