is this safe to use in bosch dishwasers? as the manual from bosch says " bosch recommends finish products"

    • +5

      ….yes. Its safe.

    • +25

I would not pay any attention to what the manual says around recommending particular brands. It's just marketing / partnerships between the suppliers. It's no different to buying a Panasonic TV and the manual saying "only use Panasonic batteries for the remote"

      • This ++

    • +3

We use it & it is better than finish tablets.

    • +9

I'm 90% sure he was being sarcastic/trolling. At least I hope so anyway.

    • +1

I use these on my Bosch, works better than the Finish products imho

      • I have the base model Bosch dishwasher and a couple of years ago I bought 3 boxes like this on cleanace for half price. They have been great, thr only issue is i use the shortest (29min) wash an occasionally it wouldnt use the whole tablet. Solution was just cut them in half, now I am sitting at 3.7c or so per wash

  • Lame - just purchased the groupon deal.

    • +7

Plenty of room under you sink, it the OZB spirit

      • +8

Instructions unclear, I now own $500 worth of washing tablets.

      • +4

No room, that is where all my eneloops and Xiaomi powerbanks go.

  • Thanks OP, just held off from the Groupon deal.

Any tips for a first time dishwasher owner?

    • This is better than finish tablet. You can also try liquid capsules. Just check which is good for your dishes.

      • +11

According to the Internet, liquid capsules taste better.

    • If you run out of dishwashing powder you can always use the liquid you use when you do the hand washing 😆

Nah seriously, you don’t need to rinse wash stuff before hand. Just chuck it straight in and if it doesn’t come off just leave it in there till it’s gone.

  • +5

Heads up that the cheaper blue box one has a higher score than this. With this deal it's the same price.

    • +1

We tried both and didn't like the cheaper one. First of all, it smells horrible after using it and had incidences where dishes weren't clean after the cycle. Didnt have such issues with the platinum version.

      • +1 about the bad smell of Logix Complete

  • +2

As it turns out, the Choice review has the Logix Complete (the one 'below' the Platinum) as the second highest rank. They retail for 15c a wash at normal price.

    • Just to add to krouton's comment, Choice actually rate the cheaper Aldi Logix dishwashing tablet better than this one (the Platinum, more expensive one).

      • From memory, the Choice rating applies to the earlier formula which contained phosphates. Logix Complete had changed their formula about a year ago.

I find their newer phosphate formula (on both the Complete and Platinum) doesn't work as well as the old ones.

The best non phosphate tablets I find is Fairy Platinum. That stuff cleans everything!

        • +1

+1 for Fairy Platinum - I've tried Aldi and all type of Finish but this works best

        • +1

          it's an updated test

        • +5

the Choice rating applies to the earlier formula which contained phosphates

The results of the Choice tests are available online for free. It says they tested the phosphate-free formula of the Logix Complete 10 in 1.

          https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/dishwasher…

Here is a summary of what Choice recommend:

Product Score Cost Per Wash Phosphate Free?
Earth Choice All in 1 Dish Tablets 79% 40c Yes
Coles Ultra Plus Dishwasher Power Pods 77% 35c Yes
Coles Ultra With Active Oxygen Dishwasher Tablets 77% 21c Yes
Logix Complete 10 in 1 Dishwashing Tablets 77% 15c Yes
Miele Ultra Tabs Multi 75% 42c Yes
Coles Ultra 6 in 1 Dishwasher Tablets 74% 17c Yes
Logix Platinum 18 in 1 Dishwashing Tablets 74% 20c Yes
Ecostore Dishwasher Tablets 72% 50c Yes
Fairy Platinum All in One 72% 78c No
Woolworths Select Shine Extreme Powerful Dishwasher Tablets 71% 35c No

So as @krouton24 and @b-radicool said, the Aldi Logix Complete 10 in 1 performs better overall and is cheaper (at the regular price)… at least according to Choice. The full results show that each product is good and cleaning some things, and not so great at others, so YMMV depending on what you eat.

        • We are happy using Logix 10 in 1 tablets in our Siemens dishwasher. The only time i use fairy tablets is when I need to run the quick cycle.

    • So that means we should just get the Logix Complete. Because this 100 pack is platinum performs not as well and they don't come with wrappings that can dissolve

  • +2

Highly recommended and NO WRAPPER REMOVAL!!!

    • you sure? the big packs are normally with a wrapper that needs to be removed

      • +2

I purchased 2 packs of Logix Platinum 100 early this year and can confirm they have wrappers. I don't mind unwrapping.

      • Logix use self-dissolving wrappers

        • +4

          not the 100 pack one

        • -3

Haha, is that true? Ppl have been removing dissolving wrappers this whole time? If that IS true it's hilarious

        • +3

@Lps: The wrapper states to remove it before use. The box likewise states to remove the wrapper. People get confused between the Logix Platinum 30 product and the larger 100 box that appears twice a year. The larger box has non dissolvable wrappers yet people insist all Logix Platinum do not need to be unwrapped. We'll see what happens this time around. Maybe ALDI was getting rid of old stock 100 tablet packs.

        • @Cluster:

I have a 60 pack at home and the wrappers don't dissolve, you need to remove them.

We previously used Logix standard tablets (not the Platinum range) and they dissolved nicely… I miss that.

      • I bought some on the last deal a month or so ago and they had self dissolving wrappers

        • 60 pack?

      • +1

Can confirm. Bought this exact pack earlier in the year, and the wrappers don't dissolve. We learnt the hard way…

    • +4

You can't always get away with twitter-like remarks here. You need to justify your gripe. And don't just say it does't work. Provide details please.

  • Cheap and good

  • How does this compare to Earth All in 1? I read somewhere that they're rated #1 on Choice.

  • +7

How do these compare to SuperMaxx Turbocharged Thrust Injection Powerball Tabs from Finish?

    • +3

I'm still waiting for the tablet that lets me win the Finnish Powerball.

    • Both work well but the secret is to fill the rinse aid reservoir with blinker fluid.

      • Left blinker or right blinker?

        • The hazards

  • +1

I just purchased Finish Classic (with the red ball) 110 pack, $19 each, or 2 for $29 from Reject Shop

  • Can this be used in Miele dishwasher?

  • Hmmm…
Got a Hard Rock Cafe bigarse glass, from 1994. Why still, dunno, it’s big, i like it.
Lasted 23 years, until i started using aldi tablets… ‘dissolved’ the gold lettering/imagery off, in less than 5 washes.

Who knows. Could be more going on.

    • Not sure what is in them. They clean EXTREMELY well. However, the wooden spoons have lost a bit of their wooden colour.

  • Isn't scooped powder still cheaper than tablets?

  • +1

You can get 2 x120 Finish Tablets from Reject Shop ie. 240 tablets for $30.00 = 12.5 cents a wash. Not the absolute cheapest but cheaper than this.

    • now Aldi starts to discount these 100 packs at 10 bucks

  • Cheers, got some today.
