    Not surprised.

    Kraft Peanut butter was much better…

    • +3

      Pretty sure the only thing that's different is the name on the jar…

      • The label looks cheesy

      • How does the new Kraft compare?

    • +2

      Nothing changed except for the label though.

      • -1

        ownership changed.

        • +3

          The product itself is completely unchanged.

          How are you so sure?

          @jv: Because I'm a shareholder and follow my investments closely. And there's this and many other news reports.
          https://www.9news.com.au/national/2017/10/18/15/43/bega-save…

        • Yep, same recipe all right. Same 'corporate dress' on the packaging, too, which has landed Bega in hot water.

          Shareholders aren’t told everything though…

        • +1

          @jv: So a news article saying same recipe, same factory, same people isn't enough for you? Ok well we're done here then.

        • -2

          @gwoody:

          Article says they have a license to use the same recipe.

          Do you know for sure that they are and if they haven’t modified it in some way?

        • +1

          @jv: You strike me as a flat earther.

        • -1

          @gwoody:

          I guess you can't prove it then…

        • @jv:

          "Bega has confirmed the breakfast favourite will be made to the same recipe, and in the same factory"

          Learn to read, jv.

        • @ripsnorter:

          "will be made"

          Future continuous tense…

          Has it though???

          I know how to read, do you know how to understand ?

        • +1

          @jv:

          Lol so what are you saying, that Bega have taken over the brand but not made the same product but then stated they will and you then doubt what they are saying? Not sure if you are a nutty conspiracy theorist or just trolling…
          PS I do know how to comprehend and do not require you to embolden words, or are you not confident enough in your communication skills that you feel you need to embolden key words? It looks ridiculous.

          @ripsnorter: Its fine. "jv" is just embarrassed he got caught out and is trying to salvage what little he thinks he has left of his pride.

          @ripsnorter:

          Lol so what are you saying

          I’m asking if they’ve changed it at all.

          Eg. Using cheaper ingredients to reduce costs.

  • That price is NUTS!

    if not your favourite on bread easily made into satay sauce and have it with some chicken or beef ….
    add coconut milk, curry powder, chilli ginger and garlic …

    it’s sad when the cost of living has relegated me to this and and uber eats is reserved for a special occasion .. eg pay rise, fall in interest rates, aussie dollar goes up so petrol goes down , etc,etc.

    • Peanut butter biscuits is also another great way of using large amounts of the stuff.

  • FYI, the Best before date on the bottles show expiry 15 Nov 18, so no, they are still in date, and $0.99 per bottle
